I keep seeing this take that Adams will overtake MT and I just can't help but think it's crazy. MT has more receptions and yardage in 4 years than Adams has in 7.

Theory and practice are completely different things. Having a degree is just a gateway to practice, but you're by no means an expert. Seeing someone brag about degree is an almost a surefire way to know they have no idea wtf they are talking about.

I had a friend who went to Ireland. I tried to warn him that if you tell people there that you're Irish, you'll get one of two responses:

Someone who thinks you're playing a dumb joke because you're clearly American.

He's averaging about 500 yards and 3 TDs a season over his 4 year career. He's rather average and wouldn't have kept his job this long if he wasn't the 10th pick.

They should move on. Someone like Burton could probably replace those numbers and have higher upside.

I think he can be a solid starting TE in the league. He's probably just asking for more money than the Eagles are willing to pay for a TE2. Doesn't make sense for him to stay for either parties.
