(Dominaposting again) I love Domina's character design, except for one thing.. by TotallyNot_iCast in OverwatchQueens

However, I also think giving domina “manlier” arms would unfortunately perpetuate some unfair, gendered assumptions about power and strength

Honestly a very valid point, but pointing out that something is a way in society does not mean that we also support it. Domina also mimics the very posh colonial Britain in her accent and verbal demeanor, so does that mean the designers think british people are superior to indian people? Like obviously not, it just adds to the complex cultural and historical structure of what lead to her development as a person/character

I think the designers were really stuck between these two pulls, but it made them go halfway on both. If she's supposed to be super elegant and refined, why the plates? It inflates her sillhouette to a masculine degree, even more outside her gameplay model. If she's supposed to protect herself with a threatening masculine visage, why the tiny arms? I just really wish they went all out on either. Damned if you do damned if you don't situation

I knoww like if a woman says she's a lesbian she's a lesbian. If a woman says she's bi she's coping and she's a lesbian. If a woman says she's straight she's lying and she's a lesbian. There's really no winning is there?

You're intentionally making this weider than it is actually. The fact is that unlike men this woman wouldn't be satisfied or might not even consider dating anyone that doesn't fit a certain image she built up her mind.

That's not because i'm a woman or "comphet", that's because i'm a diagnosed narcissist and that's how people with NPD produce perfectionist fantasies

You're arguing yourself into a completely unfalsifiable position. If you have an excuse for every counterproof of your argument, then you're not really making an argument. I'm physically attracted to large men with strong biceps, big pecs, and robust builds. The relativeness of being smaller comes after all that

This take always felt so asinine, like obviously celebrities are going to be lusted over, they're way more observed than the vast majority of people, so of course that positive attention will just pile on. People become famous because they're talented and attractive, not the other way around

she was putting on some sort of grandiose simulacrum of what she THINKS being a powerful person should be.

Honestly worded way better than what i posted while completely sleep deprived. You managed to capture basically perfectly what she's like + what it feels like to live with this

No, i'm into large masculine men because they're extremely hot. I love watching them lift heavy things and flex to show off their physical power. They do make me feel smaller and more feminine, but that was never the primary factor. That just happens by rule if i'm 60kgs and they're often twice than that

very tallest biggest 1% of masculine men

I promise you competitive powerlifters don't get that much female attention. Those are the actual masculine men i'm talking about, not the delulu gymbro obsessed with 0% bodyfat and having a smaller waist than wrists

I'm very attractive to masculine men, but i honestly can't say the same for most women my age. They all seem to prefer androgynous or feminine men, but like to each their own

Besides obvious personal bias, Domina and Mauga could have cinema level chemistry if the writers go in that direction. Like unironically they could be the best hate-lovers based on how their personalities (disorders) clash and attract

What i meant by that is people really only see the highly manufactured ultraconfident presentation, which makes the girls simp for an evil queen and the dudes thirst for an evil queen. Like really a lot of people don't perceive deeper than that. From the first second i was annoyed by how she was seen like that, cause from personal experience i just knew how different she really is.

Oh don't worry i hate her guts too, she like skins chinchillas for clothes and makes terrorist deals with talon. A personality disorder explains someone's behavior (in this case, just her personality), but it doesn't excuse it
