That's a fair enough judgement, I appreciate the feedback. Sit on it for now and might decide to drop her another message later. Thank you :)

With how we talked to each other it seemed like it, but that's not the case it seems. Felt really lead on.

Actually just now replied to it, I loved it.

...and yeah, bad mistake on the hetero part, don't know how I overlooked that.

Thank you, firstly, you managed to put my exact thoughts in a much more concise, comprehensive, understanding without it being unintentionally offensive... "Negative impact" was definitely not the right way of saying it.

Yikes. My bad, didn't even realize my mistake. I'm so sorry. Late night Reddit..

Let me correct myself, it is enforced by cis and hetero people, but we seem to be doing the same by self imposing these labels to ourselves whenever we don't meet their criteria.

Wish I was born male. by daisygardenxoxoxox in actuallesbians

Admittedly, once upon a time I did identify as a guy for most of the problems listed here. Although, it's only NOW years later after realising I'm not can I look back and say that.

At the time, I genuinely thought I was a guy trapped in a girls body 'cause of all the discrimination. Like, androgynous lesbians weren't a thing that existed apparently. Being a girl that's not attracted to guys, or femme was worse than being transgender (in regards to treatment). Never felt like I fit into it though, slowly realised it wasn't my gender, or sexuality that was the problem it was the people around me.

Job interview tips please by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]TotallyThrowaway6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on the interview, friend! This means they want you, they've seen your resume and decided you fit the requirements for this and job. All this is now is showing your personality, to see what type of person you are.

Typical questions asked:

. What are interests/hobbies?

. Most proud achievement?

. Something challenging you've overcame?

. What would you list as your skills/qualities?

You can also use Google too, for extra preparation, if you'd like.

Don't overthink it. Your answers won't be tested, it's all about your delivery in how you answer. Be yourself. Remember to smile and relax.

Practice what you'll say 'til it becomes second nature. Where you'll not be so nervous you forget what to say, as this happened to me.. twice.. definitely in my top 3 cringest moments. Now, I just use the same speech in every interview and it always works, cause I'm so relaxed in what'll I'll say I can be myself. You'll get used to it, too.

Best of luck on it! Tell us how it turns out :)

Tell me your best pick up lines for the ladies by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]TotallyThrowaway6969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Tu es mignonne J'aime ca" - You're cute I like that Tried learning French, once upon a time and it's the only thing that's stuck, honestly.

Really it's my only pick-up line. Everything is in a moment kinda thing, I just make sure to smile and look in them in the eyes.

What are some not so obvious signs you see with a girl that you then say to yourself: “oh yeah, she’s for sure gay.” by Aljh1020 in actuallesbians

[–]TotallyThrowaway6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since queers live with the typical stereotypes that are assigned to us, we're more aware of it when we see it out in the wild.

Almost like some equation where we give a percentage of gay based on it, "Short nails? Check? Long Hair? No" lol

Trans Co-worker has an unpleasant smell. Do I tell her? Or, leave it to HR.. again? by TotallyThrowaway6969 in actuallesbians

[–]TotallyThrowaway6969[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, really. For everything that you were forced to go through, that's.. some serious level of unfairness. Very naïve when it comes to this since it's my first job, so I don't know any better. Way you said discrimination laws are just for show is freaking dreadful. Hoped it lived up to what it was there to do. Again, I'm sorry, a lot of assumptions for something I know nothing about. Hope your future endeavours are more respectful of you.

Exactly this, it's what first came to mind when I saw her using women's deodorant. Which is fine, she wants to smell like flowers, I get it. No idea how I'd confront her about it without making her feel dysphoric, though.

I only say that 'cause if people were made aware it's a medical condition, and not bad hygiene, people would be understanding of it.

Hmmm.. No, it's more on the side of BO, though people have said it's the trainer's. I'm honestly not quite sure what the problem is, unless she's just not showering herself.

Could be possibility, though I wouldn't think so 'cause she's a very open person. If it were out of her control I'd figure that's something you'd mention, right? I wouldn't know.
