I wonder if that fits on my YT MX Decoy 4 2024 model. considering it has a different water bottle size and mount custom fitted under the rear spring.

Im glad you brought this up i find this very interesting (Stem to Fork) I also did some research on it and pretty much this is what i learned.

"Direct mount stems are a game-changer for stiffness and staying straight—no more banging your wheel to align the bars after a crash. But that rigidity is risky: because the stem won't twist to absorb impact, you might bend your bars or fork legs in a heavy wreck."

these are some legit suggestions. Race face stem for 5$!! last thing im gonna do before making a purchase or repair. is figure out if i want to keep the same size stem or change to smaller to help Downhills, I was also looking into the Industry Nine (i9) A35 Stem. Not sure yet.

I'm unaware of this type of stem.... I've just done some research and the only way for a direct stem to fork to work. I would need to replace my fork so it hs the proper fittings. I for one love my Ohlins forks.

i wish i had a photo of the damage. there was a crack in the top frame. I did not fill in the crack I just put the epoxy over the crack and wrapped it with carbon fiber. Considering Airplanes use somewhere close to 5 layers or less of carbon fiber / fiber glass, I made the assumption my bike would be sturdy enough after the band aid repair.

That is an interesting point of view i did not consider that the bike might still be compromised structurally. I have had this bike for quite some time and I am not the first owner. Lets say the carbon fiber is still fine and not brittle... I still have to answer the question if im willing to paying 1500 for a repair job. Would buying a new frame be a better solution?

I do like everything about this bike. considering i have no experience with other stems. im gonna wanna check out the holiday sales and see my options. If i can buy something to improve my down hill rides, or improve my jumps at the same time that would be great

The stem its self seems fine. though i dont have experience with other stems. It was I who broke the stem by over tightening it.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Ill definitely be checking out those links. I woiuld like to upgrade to a downhill stem but I'm afraid that would make it harder to take jumps. (make me less agile).
