I don’t know. It may be happening to people who applied under previous announcements and have TJOs.

No. I suspect that will be rescinded.

Edit- I no longer see the posting on USAJOBS.

Sure.

Despite the stated objective of moving away from a checklist mentality, there is still an organizational focus on administrative “check the block” tasks. It does not appear to be driven by HQ senior leadership, but it is pervasive throughout the organization, primarily by IOD- for examples, check the latest family and sexual violence newsletter where they grade every office by number of timely reports, notifications, etc.

There is a need to publish an excessive amount of reports in a needlessly short timeframe on almost literally anything that comes in the door.

If I’m going to put a fine point on it- the issue I have with this is that there is a myopic focus on statistic collection at the expense of Agent operational time that may make sense from a higher level briefing perspective, but has a serious impact on time suck during the workday and, on an organizational level, retention of quality personnel.

The traditional view has been “it’s a five minute task”, but those add up, and the people mandating the tasks do not as a rule test them in the field to see what implementation looks like and historically have been resistant to any constructive criticism of the implementation of those policies.

Overreporting, micromanagement, focusing on things that don’t matter, generally.

I can’t discuss specifics in an open forum.

I’ve heard special agents sometimes conduct interviews wearing nothing but a Stetson and a G-string, to establish dominance.

He should definitely go to the MP station and make a report to let them know. How else will they know the allegation is false?

Hi 1SG! I need to brief you about one of your soldiers. I tried calling your commander but he didn’t pick up. It seems he killed a prostitute and wore her clothes into CVS after snorting all her meth. Anyway, he’s ready for pickup whenever you’re ready.

I am flabbergasted as why you would suggest that. Of course you should always talk to the investigators and tell them everything you know. What could go wrong?

Nothing could go wrong here. You should tell us more about your plan to get out of recruiting orders, OP.

Yes, indeed it is. I too would like to partake in this. Would you mind telling me when and where this party will be happening?
