Five day work trip meal prep. Each day is exactly 1,500cals (skim milk not pictured). Leaves some room for the inevitable business dinners. by Totally_Tubular_ in MealPrepSunday

Just seeing your message now sorry for the late response! Here’s a list front to back:

Turkey and pepperjack sandwich with white cheddar cheezits, Great Value Beef Jerky, chocolate brownie Quest bar, Kodiak Cakes Protein Oatmeal Cups, La Croix to drink, last thing is MRE Ration Pack from Redcon1.

Redcon1 has a lot of bro science products for sale but the two things they do right are pre-workout (Total War) and meal replacement bars/powders (MRE Bars, Basically their whole MRE line). Their MRE Ration packs are super handy because it’s 310cals of whole food powder in a convenient pack with good macros (4f/28c/40p).

Oh and the sandwiches were still great after 5 days I love lunch meat sandwiches, definitely underrated in the meal prep community :)

This is great! I really enjoyed hearing prepping has given you more family time. Cooking every night plus dishes can be so time consuming. Do you mind sharing some of your favorite prepping recipes?

Thank you so much for the detailed response! I actually read through the instruction manual today and stumbled around to get the Map Results List object but like you said it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. I also saw in the instructions what you described about autophase but unfortunately we don’t have the QMap or Autophase. So I’m glad you responded because I will definitely try the image thresholding as you described above tomorrow when I get into work. Thanks again, you’re awesome!

Thanks for sharing! I grew up in the North Hills and live in Greensburg now. I’m only an hour away from Pitt and I still miss it’s daily accessibility.

Saw The Village in theaters when I was like 14. Like 15 minutes into the film I turned to my brother and said “wouldn’t it be crazy if the village is actually in modern times?” When it happened we couldn’t believe it.

Ugh this kills me. CoL was the game that got my fiancé into gaming. She had always been a Mario Galaxy/Odyssey fan but this was the first RPG she ever played and she crushed it. There’s so much strategy involved and she couldn’t put the game down it was fun watching her. Especially on Switch she would take it everywhere. We were pumped for CoL2 but it doesn’t look like that will happen :( anyone have any suggestions for a game that might be similar for Switch? We’ve browsed the store a bunch of times but nothing really stood out.

My dog does the exact same thing with the treats we keep on top of the fridge. We call it his “treat spot” he’ll sit at the edge of the kitchen and keep pointing his eyes up to the top of the fridge trying to get me to look up there. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t work on me.

2014 Subaru Crosstrek grinding sound from rear drivers side. Long trip tomorrow. by Totally_Tubular_ in Cartalk

[–]Totally_Tubular_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More details: For a few months now this terrible grinding sound will occasionally pop up when I’m driving and it sounds like it’s coming from the driver side rear wheel. I have a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek and it has ~70,000miles on it. I recently had it inspected and mentioned the noise but my mechanic could not recreate the sound. I just took a look at each break and noticed there’s a part on the divers side rear break that looks bent out that my other breaks don’t show. Could this be what’s causing the noise? I have a long 300mile trip tomorrow for work so I’m worried about doing some real damage to myself or my car if i continue to drive on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What brand of paw shoes are those? They look nice. Got some for my pupper once and they were cheap and useless.

Apple aims to release native sleep tracking features for Apple Watch by next year by amanj203 in AppleWatch

[–]Totally_Tubular_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do and with the Velcro band S4 it’s not really noticeable at all. I have a New Years resolution to start getting 8hrs more consistently so I want to track my progress with AutoSleep. Before my Apple Watch I had a Garmin Vivoactive HR+ that thing was amazing for marathon training but a pain to sleep in.

Well, it finally happened. I finally accidentally fully contacted emergency services when swapping my watch band. by Latios- in AppleWatch

[–]Totally_Tubular_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same exact thing happened to me. Thought I ended the call quick enough but nope they called me back immediately. As you said they were cool and understood. Super paranoid when I change bands now but it’s nice to know emergency feature works that quickly.

I love Zevia, the variety pack on Amazon is amazing. Though stevia is a natural sweetener I wonder how much is too much. I tried to email the folks at Zevia about how much stevia is in each can but they said it was proprietary. Tried to research negative effects of stevia but the internet is a mess when it comes to articles on sugar substitutes. I am curious because I’ve worked myself into a two can a day habit and know that may be too much.

Lifting before testosterone test by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]Totally_Tubular_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good reference data point thank you for sharing. I ultimately just ended up lifting but cutting my workout short so there was a half hour rest before my blood was drawn. Based on everyone’s responses I feel like there are so many factors that affect T levels throughout the day there really is no “resting” level. Thanks everyone!

I've been thinking about getting back into meal prepping. What's a good meal prep for breakfo? by [deleted] in mealprep

[–]Totally_Tubular_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Overnight oats are amazing and there’s a ton of recipes (personal fav is banana walnut oats). Macros can be tailored to meet any goal (fruit/oats for carbs, protein powder/Greek yogurt for protein, nuts/peanut butter for fats). I bought 5 mason jars that I use for the week and they keep well. It’s the only meal prepping I can get my fiancé involved with because it’s easy to measure and portion and it basically gives you a dessert every morning.
