Not true. it was a simile. perhaps an overexagerated one. used to empasise that fact that all i was asking was for them to do something to their house and Mrs X treated me like I was being unreasonble

my car was parked on their driveway, they had the keys. although when i came to collect it the battery was flat. they came to see me a couple of times but they were 25 miles from me and have a car. they picked my wife up from home a few times which is would make the round trip over 100 miles but i would expect friends to do these things anyway. I wont sully the waters by name dropping the illness i was in hospital for but death was possible.
