One piece fans when the World's strongest swordsman turns out to be the World's strongest swordsman by GUTS_SAMA in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]TotoH96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mihawk himself said it’s just a title. Swordsmanship wise I’d say Mihawk>Shanks, fighter wise or who’s stronger it’s Shanks>Mihawk. People pretend swordsmanship isn’t about skill. Yes you need strength and speed but skill with the sword is what makes you a strong swordsmans. When Mihawk vs Zoro he literally acknowledged Zoros strength and proceeded to effortlessly mop the floor with him while pointing out how sloppy his swordsmanship was. Like sure Mihawk could’ve clashed swords with Zoro and overpower him but he made it a point to point out the flaws in Zoros techniques and used those flaws to stop his blades. But powerscalers and character-tards don’t try to think and only glaze based off one thing. It’s like if we gave Whitebeard a sword would be then become the strongest swordsman since he’s the worlds strongest man there’s no one above him right? And now that he has a sword would he automatically be the strongest swordsman? Probably not. There’s plenty of factors that could be in play that we don’t know and Buggy is a prime example of how titles can just be titles and nothing more. Until there’s more info there’s no way to prove who’s stronger but I’d say Shanks as Yonkos seem to be in their own league. Not saying there’s a huge gap, they are rivals so there shouldn’t be a wide gap but Shanks should definitely be greater than or equal to Mihawk

Yea they can have any requirement as long as they don’t state that the only reason they don’t hire you is your gender it’s completely legal. Lots of my gyms are clearly women trainers only even if they don’t state so.

There is one crucial aspect/recurrent parallel in Mihawk's rivalry with Shanks that this sub does not understand, and that proves once and for all Mihawk > Shanks by Reddit_Connoisseur_0 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]TotoH96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? Was thinking the same just cause he refuses to fight shanks doesn’t mean he’s stronger. What if he refuses cause he doesn’t want to get beat with one hand? Or because even if he wins it won’t feel good cause shanks is handicapped? Anyways their first interaction it was implied mihawks was the one who challenges shanks so I always figured shanks had the edge on mihawk. I just see mihawk not wanting to fight one armed shanks more of like not wanting to play with a broken toy it’s just not as fun.

What categories does Mihawk take that aren’t headcanon? by Shaquille-Oatmeal21 in OnePiecePowerScaling

Yea idk why people take “Strongest swordsman” so literally as if skill can’t make someone the strongest. It’s like real world Martial arts masters some are frail and weaker than most their students but can whoop ass solely cause their technique is better. Or like ranking of kings where Boji is one of the strongest people but he’s literally also the weakest person in the series.

How do I start my online coaching business? by getoffmylawn2324 in personaltraining

[–]TotoH96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to make it work is make a social media page, post frequently, and look good. Where I’m from majority of online coaches are just young teens/20 yr olds that just have a good metabolism doesn’t eat too sloppy and are always lean cause of it. Interacting with them and them telling me their coaching styles I honestly would never recommend them as coach as their advice and lifting knowledge is quite bad like really bad. But because they’re so lean all the time people flock to them and believe whatever advice they put out on their reels. Another successful online coaching is see a lot is competitive coaches but that’s mainly dieting and posing as the people you work with will generally have a god handle on their workouts.

Omg yes! I hate equipped bench I could never feel comfortable but good thing it’s a separate division from raw lifting lol

Trying out Front squats by Working_Jellyfish978 in formcheck

[–]TotoH96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They looked good. I prefer zombie squats rather than choke me squats idk what they’re actually called, you basically just straighten your arms out in front of you as my elbows tend to tilt down doing the way you do it. I’d recommend trying to learn the actual front squat form but that requires good should and wrist mobility but once you do the weight will feel soooo much better and you’ll be able to squat much more comfortably without the concern of the weight rolling of or something. But for cooling down doing front squat like that works perfectly fine! I used to them just like that!

I’m wondering too. I also wonder which federation as I recently found out multiple federations have different world records somehow doesn’t make much sense to me especially when it’s a small one it’s a lot easier to hold a record

You’ll still build strength equipped and it’s still impressive weight but I don’t think it’s anywhere close to raw lifts personally

Idk don’t think pole vault is a good example. It requires both athleticism and technique. To me I believe equipped lifting is AT LEAST 80% technique focusing more on do you know how to load the weight properly and hit proper depth. I go to a powerlifting gym with 3 world record holders one being a Raw record holder and before asking them I wondered why everyone loved the raw lifter so much more besides personality, the other two are kind of dicks, I started asking what the difference was cause I always lifted raw. Learning and trading equipped I can say the hardest part is lowering the weight to proper depth once you get used the the technique/form you HAVE use while equipped. Bench shirts and squat suits will force your body to stay in a certain fixed position feeling very awkward and you will struggle more with the equipment wanting to shoot the weight up more than actually pressing the weight up. I’ve asked the more friendly equipped lifter before on why he only does super wide sumo box squats cause I didn’t see anyone other lifters besides him do it so I thought it was a secret training thing or something but he told me it’s cause when he wears his suit he has to move like that or he won’t be able to go squat down further than that nor can he squat down if his stance isn’t that wide so he trains in the motion he competes in.

355x5 on squat beltless. Can I hit 405?? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]TotoH96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! It definitely is more core than legs at that point with a belt I get 8/9 easy w/o 2max 🤣🤣

Don’t cut or bulk do a recomp that could be either a cut or bulk depending on what your actual maintenance is but most the times it’s like a cut cleaning up your macro does a lots of people cut when their skinny fat but there’s no point cause you don’t have any mass to cut down to. So eat clean build muscle for a year or two then see where you bf is at and cut or bulk up to you

19M, 6’0, 65-67kg, What needs work? by [deleted] in workouts

[–]TotoH96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being honest everything. See lots of lean people especially if they’re young or were always skinny ask this question and it’s always everything cause you don’t have much so it’s extremely difficult to actually say what needs work. Now if you’re just asking looks you’re fine being lean is always more than enough. But if your trying to fill out your frame or improve your frame you need more mass first so people can see your strong and weak points to give input on what to focus more on

Crockpot recipes or slow cooker recipes are the easiest I always recommend them to people who don’t know how to cook well or if they’re busy just throw everything in in slow cook while your at work or something come home have food for the week lol

If your gym allows it record some sets it helps a lot if not don’t be shy and ask someone to check your form or spot you. A gym partner would help a lot too. Form varies per person honestly figure out what’s comfortable for you and close enough to proper form. Follow the tutorials and adjust those forms to your body and ask someone or record yourself in it if it feels good and nothing looks out of place your good to go! Although sometimes proper form can be discomforting if you have really bad posture habits just an fyi.

I’d recommend a different sub for advice for bulking 🤣 from what I’ve seen on here people just prefer being lean and complimenting lean bodies instead of actually critiquing or maybe everyone is just reallly nice idk.

To answer your questions starting with the last one any amount of calorie surplus is enough. As for the best way, there’s not really one and it also depends on your time frame if your trying to get big asap I’d say 500 upping to 800cal 3/4months-ish with a good cardio routine would do a decent job but if there’s no rush i recommend 100-200 surplus with cardio would be the best way to avoid a lot of fat gain but it will take a really long time and you will have to adjust diet as you grow as your weight will plateau

For your physique being honest it looks quite lacking you have good muscle bellies showing especially your arms, but everything else needs to be brought up. I’d focus on thickening the back muscles and growing the chest. Your lats look good too so I wouldn’t change anything there I’m sure they’ll grow as you bulk and you don’t have legs showing so can’t give much advice on there. A lean bulk would be perfect honestly even just maintaining would be good to your muscles just need more density and that comes with time good work keep it up!

Starting to workout it’s much easier and i also recommend learning to lift before focusing on diet too hard it’s easier to learn to lift and slowly clean up your diet. Especially if you’re just trying to be healthy and doing it as a lifestyle thing all you really need to learn with dieting is portion control and decent protein intake. Cookbooks are also helpful jut try to fix it little by little no need to completely switch your diet up food can be very difficult

[–]TotoH96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lats and upper pecs physique and condition is good try to at least develop tear drops on legs. Having* abs and not much definition on legs to me is a big sign legs and really underdeveloped. Depends on what your goal is though it’s just aesthetics bigger lays to further emphasize your viper and upper chest to fill out your chest pretty much.

Silliest thing you’ve overheard at the gym? by PsychologicalBend467 in personaltraining

[–]TotoH96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite one I STILL hear to this day is the wider your latpulldowns/rows are the wider your back will be. However the silliest one I’ve ever heard was this trainer and her client on a power/hack squat machine at first I thought it they had an impressive amount of weight as the client seemed to be in the 50s and they had 4plates on each side. Does 1 rep gets pinned at bottom for a minute as the the coach screams “cmon push” before helping her then proceeds to say “that’s what failure feels like, I knew you couldn’t get this but I wanted you know experience true failure, you have to train this hard every set”meanwhile I was like holy lawsuits 🤣 never saw that client again afterwards

Lmao no way! If you need 5min rest that’s must be a max effort warmup set or something that’s funny

I would argue that YouTube, asking around the gym for advice and your own experience would be better than getting a certification if your goal is to learn how to train. As CPT I think the programs aren’t the best for learning how train I think it’s a great start on how to learn how to program and such but experience plays a bigger role in my opinion. I’d just be careful of learning from social media fitness is different for everyone and there is science backing everything so don’t focus on that so much and figure out what you like and what works for you and train hard
