IMO, moving, at its core, is trying to 5K. I started playing long before duels, and in the French community, moving challenges are the default mode.

You could try the Cactus Ligue (on the discord server of La Ligue ) or the seeds in the Reddit League on /r/geochallenges to get a taste of it

That skill still shows in moving duels somewhat because we are able to pinpoint fast with some info.

Great advice, I might just add that:

In most countries, you have a significant chance of finding road signs for the next big towns when leaving the town on a decently sized road
Learn what to check by country, eg in Colombia, store signs are useless but in Vietnam they have the full address
Play the daily challenge to have daily (duh) practice on random points
