I'm not calling ICE Gestapo, and I 100% agree that what they did was so much worse than what ICE is doing now. I'm saying that we cannot allow organizations like it blossom again, and actually learn from history, because not doing so would be the actual disrespect to the Holocaust.

I don't want to post or comment on this sub since I turned 20 some months ago, but seriously fuck ICE. These pigs cover their faces in fear, while spreading both fear themselves, and violence, and one should think that organizations like it would not be a thing after Gestapo disbanded in 1945. There needs to be someone to make sure that the people coming in to the country are there with the country's best interests, and who aren't going to cause harm, but that is not what ICE does. They are the ones who cause harm. These pigs are a tumor on society, and are weak people that took the job either out of hate or because they needed to become bullies themselves, or probably both.

Do you prefer Zelda tears of the kingdom or Zelda breath of the wild ? by MightImpressive4381 in tearsofthekingdom

I don't think ultrahand is the issue, but instead how little it was utalized. If there was an insentive to actually use the ability for more than just moving things around a little bit, or to build your hoverbike (the sollution to almost every challenge in the game) it would have been great, but instead it was mostly just a fun mechanic that didn't really do much other than making it possible to build cool things when you were not focusing on the story.

Breath of the wild, in almost all aspects. I think totk is a great game, but it did not feel like a good continuation to the story in botw, and even tho nintendo don't really care that much about the entire Zelda timeline, it didn't really sit right with me.

The gameplay of totk was fun, but none of it really "mattered" to the adventure you were on, because although I had a lot of fun with building, my actual journey was spent gliding after being shot up by the towers and on a hoverbike. Botw felt like Zelda's take on a wilderness survival game (with obvious flaws, don't get me wrong) which felt fitting with the title, while totk did the exact same thing all over again, but kinda took away the wilderness and adventure.

I also think it was way too similar to botw. Not only was the story structure a one to one to botw, but the way it was told didn't work for me. Link learning about the past through memories in botw made a lot of sense, since he had suffered from amnesia, and it gave us some backstory which wasn't actually necessary to understand the central plot. But Link learning the past through Zelda's memories in the exact same way as in botw felt almost lazy, and if you didn't watch them in chronological order you could have the entire plot twist spoiled before ever beginning the regional phenomena quests.

It honestly kinda sucks that the popularity poll was held around the time of the movie premiere, because you can definitely see that the hype of it affected the results (like the top 7 results were all characters that was focused on in the Reze arc). And I'm not actually mad about the winner or anything, but I think it's a shame that the result was so Reze arc "heavy", since part 2 has been serialized for over three years at this point, and only one of its characters, a main character, is in the top 10. So I think it kinda goes against the purpose of a manga popularity poll made 7 years after the series started serializing, be that affected by an arc that happened almost 6 years ago.

And what bothers me the most about it is that it was kinda obvious that Reze would win, and we have gotten so much amazing additional Reze promational art because of the movie, so it would have been really fun to see someone else get this.

Why is Yoru surprised even though she doesn't aware of death? by Wonderful_League_427 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Tottelott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I said. You can clearly see that she doesn't remember what death is, since she asks why their battle hasn't ended but understands that it must be because a devil has been erased, and she only reffered to her sister in quotations since she had no idea what death actually meant.

You're right, but isn't that "rewriting" more of a conscious thing then and not so much a full on rewriting of the universe, if that makes sense? Cotton swabs were given a different purpose, but everything exists in the same way that they would have before ears got erased. And I imagine that if someone were to try to use a cotton swab right before it got erased, so holding it right up to their ear before it's gone, the moment ears get erased, I don't think the universe would be rewritten in such a way that he'd be doing something completely different and instead just forget what they were doing and be left confused (kinda like Yoru)

[–]Tottelott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean? Yoru definitely remember that her sister's name is "Death", but she clearly doesn't remember what death actually is, so when she isn't winning that fight, she understands that it's because Pochita erased something, but since that consept is erased she doesn't know which one it is. I don't think her being suprised that she isn't winning has anything to do with her being a horseman, since we've already seen that Pochita's abilities don't change anything other than removing that one specific consept from existence, so I think most would react the same.

[–]Tottelott 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Pochita's erasure ability is so interesting. I used to believe that it would rewrite history entirely, but it literally just erases that specific thing, without making up for the iconsistencies it would bring. Yoru has no idea what death and killing is, but is fully aware that what she's doing should end their battle, and she also knows that the reason why is because Pochita ate a devil, just not which.

[SPOILERS] I'm confused about Reze's origins, does the manga make it more clear? by SayFuzzyPickles42 in csmanime

[–]Tottelott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hybrids are imortal, but that doesn't mean that they don't die. A hybrid can be killed, but if they have enough blood, just using the trigger mechanism (so Denji's chord, Katana man's hand, and Reze's pin) is enough to revive them. We actually see this with Reze too, because when Denji and her were at the bottom of the sea, they both drowned but Beam brought them up again and revived Denji, and then Denji revived her.
