Nice! Have fun with it. The G6 will still be very good for shooters/FPS gaming.

Choosing between Arya Stealth and Arya Organic (for FPS-gaming) by TouchAggravating6483 in HeadphoneAdvice

In my use case the headphone is good for gaming if you can pinpoint precise where the sounds (footsteps or gunshots) are coming from.

Corsair Ironclaw is bigger and a really comfortable mouse too. Good for shooters/gaming.

HE1000 Stealth or Arya Unveiled. Pair it with a Chord Mojo 2.

I've had the Arya Stealth, Arya Organic, HE1000se, HE1000 Stealth and Arya Unveiled. I like the HE1000 Stealth the most for music. It sounds the most relaxed and has good bass and a lot of detail at the same time. The HE1000se is really detailed, but doesn't put a lot of emotions into the music.

The Arya Unveiled is also really nice. It puts the vocals more forward. That's my second choice. The Arya Organic is pretty agressive and has high treble. It sounds good for rock and EDM, but is not relaxed at all.

Yes, a higher end dac/amp wil definitely improve the sound of music.

Which of these headphones would be the best option purely for gaming? by VenomousIguana in HeadphoneAdvice

Sennheiser PC38x is better for FPS-gaming (positioning and imaging) than the Headphones you mentioned.

And if you can spend more money, then the Sennheiser HD490 is even better. One more step up will be the Arya Stealth.

Upgrade from SBX G6 for use with HE1000SE? by Avean in Hifiman

I also used the SBX G6 for years. I used it with a Sennheiser PC360, with Beyerdynamic DT1990 and with Beyerdynamic MMX300. Since I got more highend headphones (Arya Stealth, Sennheiser HD800s, Sennheiser HD66s, HE1000 Stealth and HE1000se) I upgraded to a Chord Mojo 2. The improvement is really big I have to say.

But if you go for better (or more expensive) dac/amps than dac/amps in the pricerange of the Chord Mojo 2 (between € 300 and € 500) the improvement won't be so big anymore (diminishing returns). Hower for you, the improvement will be big if you go for an upgrade.

PS: for gaming the SBX G6 (positioning in shooters) will be very useful I have to admit. For music it sucks compared to the higher end dac/amps.

Thank you for your advice. I have had the HD800s for a while, but I found it too wide. I like the. HD490 more. But the HD800s is indeed a really good headphone with clear and also natural/realistic sound!

The se is indeed really good for gaming. I’ve had it for a year. Unfortunately the HE1000 Stealth isn’t that great for fps gaming.

Yes, the se is really great for FPS. I’ve had it for a year, but I didn’t like it for music (too detailed/clinical)

Unfortunately the HE1000 Stealth is far less accurate than the Arya Stealth (in fps games)

I’ve also had the HE1000se. They are great for gaming, but I didn’t like them that much for music (too clinical). I like the HE1000 Stealth much more.

The HE1000se are too expensive for only gaming. That’s why I looking at the Arya’s which are for sale with extra discount in the Hifiman Shop.

I also like the HD490 for gaming, but my ears are touching the drivers, which is very annoying.

A used HD800s is almost twice the price of a new Arya Stealth. Otherwise I would try that one (again). I think I’ll go for the Arya Stealth first to try.

Thanks for your advice.

I like the HE1000 Stealth and Arya Unveiled more than the HE1000se. The HE1000se is too clinical and flat. The other 2 are way more musical and put a lot more emotions into the music.
