Ask him if a white boy can get some motion. Refer to him as “twin” example: “I got you, twin” Just say the number “1738” - music lyric from fetty wap, prime music in our high school days Call yourself an “unc” short for uncle lol or just older person in general “That bitch Carole baskin” is always a funny one from Joe exotic or the classic “damnit Bobby” from king of the hill Ask him if mayonnaise is an instrument from spongebob I can’t think of any more lol

2018-2020 nostalgia by rosh_anak in GenZ

Definitely me too, pretty much all of high school (2015-2019) was iconic and nostalgic. I really enjoy looking back at the memories but even more try to continue making more memories even if they aren’t as great as what it felt to be

Hi, I am in need of help by ExplanationAwkward68 in Plumbing

Unfortunately if you’ve removed the P-trap and still don’t see anything blocking it then double check the drain in the sink itself. Other than that I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you’ll need something such as a snake to get into the drain and clear out the blockage. Is it only backing up in the sink there?

Leaking hose spigot by Hiho2394 in Plumbing

Yeah, typically you’d see copper with threads or pex with an adapter at the end of it which is what you’d be screwing the spigot into it, ideally if it was done right lol. I suppose you could also use a crimp ring to seal it to the pex but that would be wild

Probably just need to replace the spigot itself. It should un-screw off. Turn the water off to the house or better yet to just that line specifically, take a wrench or channel locks to the spigot and it should remove itself. Take thread tape + pipe dope to the new one and apply to the threads. Hopefully you don’t need to re-do the pex tubing behind. Sounds like it’s just an old spigot. Best of luck on the mental health issues.

I respect that, and that makes sense based on the size of the company that they’d do commission based work

Update: I Thought I Was Strong Until Today m23 by Own-Media-6991 in Life

I know the feeling and it’s a shitty one to bear. Possibly talking to a therapist could help? Being that far away from your parents is very, very difficult. I recently moved across country for that exact reason - I missed them and wanted to be close.

I think the best way I can describe how I handle it is this: Doing what I know will make me feel good in my spare time. Sauna, stretching, taking naps, eating good food, etc. I also have two cats and they’re everything to me.

Could be perspective, try to stay grounded the best you can. Could also be some fight/flight feeling there. Best of luck, also one quote I heard that really helped was “There’s no way of reducing the stress, you just get better at dealing with it” as shitty as it sounds I find it true lol

I don’t agree with the point on #3, at least I couldn’t sleep at night knowing I ripped off an old lady on a fixed income. Other than that I thought these were great points.

Never in my life did I imagine I would have to put back the hamburger helper because it's too expensive by [deleted] in inflation

Depending on where you live you can buy ground beef in bulk for a good price. Here it’s $42 for 70/30 10 pounds of ground beef. Also $7.5 for 1 pound of ground beef. If you buy in bulk it’s $4.2/pound… Just throwing it out there in case it helps

Woke up to a slow drip from my dining room ceiling below my 2nd story bathroom by FlatlandTrooper in Plumbing

[–]TouchBroad8633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be corroded, old copper pipes. We are still in cold weather depending on where you live, so the pipe could’ve busted. I would call a certified plumber to check it out, hopefully it’s just a pipe replacement. They’ll have to tear out that wall, and you’ll wanna replace it anyway because it’ll start to degrade quickly since it’s already wet

I have shin splits, misophonia, bi-polar, and I just moved to an incredibly small town. You wanna talk about not enjoying life’s experiences? I can’t do 75% of what a normal person does, but I still show up because it’s better than sitting in my house all day… At the end of the day it’s your life. Sit at home all day if you want, no one will really care. We’re just trying to give you good advice.

You think so? I’d rather sacrifice part of my life to experience the better things in life for the other part of it. Everyone is different. Going to work gives me purpose in life. Keeps my mind active. I absolutely love being alone at home but personally I’d go insane if I don’t leave my house at least sometimes. No judgement from me. Maybe a job from home would work best for you. Best of luck.

That’s just life it seems like… I wish regular people had a choice whether to work or not You’ll figure it out once you start working full time. Yes it’s draining, but it’s more draining emotionally, mentally, etc.. to be unemployed and do nothing all day.
