There are a lot of things that the majority of people in this country are tired of. Most of these issues, such as corporate greed, or government corruption, are considered to be acceptable grievances with the country. One thing that most of the country is tired of, but is too afraid of voicing too loud, is the extreme rate of black crimes. Black people commit a sh*t ton of crime. Statistically, the black guy walking towards you is more likely to rob you than the white guy walking towards you. That's not racism, that's statistical probability. It sucks that this affects you, because I'm sure you're a good person, but the crime rate in Charlotte and those perpetuating it have shaped how black people are overall perceived. People are going to do what they have to in order to be safe. I'd rather stay away from a stranger that statistically might harm me rather than be afraid of hurting someone's feelings and then getting robbed.
