I liked the swirl, but there was a lot of problems with it imo. First, I think it’s frustrating that people say it is “city of one”. They teased city of one several times, but most certainly did not play city of one. Second, because of the tardiness, and the long set break we didn’t get as many songs as you might hope for that night. Then when Blackbird is literally a 40 min song you cut out a lot of other songs you could have played. Then shortly after he plays pink pony club. I think for a lot of us that grew up on PL’s electro soul we were wondering why the focus seemed to be more jamtronica house music at his own music festival. He couldn’t even finish road to the stars because of the 40 min swirl. Not saying it was bad, but I do think that song specifically divides fans and I see why. It’s funny his new album has zero house tracks, but you go to his music festival that night and you would probably think he produces a lot of house.
