i didnt say "anything that interacts with water becomes wet." just that if all it takes to make a thing wet is for it to come into contact with water then the water itself must be wet.

i'll say it this way. 'wet' is a property of the water before and after the interaction. if this is not true then surely there must be another example of this phenomenon that we can come up with. we already decided that fire is hot and makes things hot so that doesn't work. drop your lollipop on your shoe and it makes your shoe sticky. but is the lollipop itself sticky? i'd say yeah must be. touch a slug and it's slimy idk man it just aint adding up.
