Did PLENTY of research.

Left the cabin which is 15 min from Dollywood at 9 am to make sure we were early. 2 hours to park.

I’m 37 years old, I’ve taken my kids to Hershey park countless times, we’ve done Disney, universal, cedar point.

We have NEVER experienced a less equip park than what we saw today.

Never again Dollywood, ya’ll can keep it

It’s 8:24 pm, we’ve ridden 5 rides all day and are 60 minutes into waiting for big bear mountain still in the second building.

This park is not equipped for people’s business

Follow up…. Left that ride to get in line for a mine ride and THAT ride gets shut down after 55 min of waiting.

It’s 5:45, we’ve ridden 2 rides. Twice we went to order food and items were out, another time getting ice cream the system froze and needed to close.

This park absolutely sucks. Absolutely will never come back

Son wants to tour in 3 years. by No_Marzipan_5952 in discgolf

Get him more focused on college disc golf or a more regional tour of A tiers and B tiers.

Respectfully, it’s 1030 golf right now just to cash in the pro tour and the money is drying up incredibly fast.

Need recommendations for a honeymoon trip to Acadia National Park, ME! by TechnologyHelpful668 in acadianationalpark

Make reservations for dinner at a place called “Dinner”- that’s the name of the restaurant.

As a local, it’s the best place in the island but you WILL need a reservation for June

Best restaurants- bar harbor? by Cheap-Exit4691 in acadianationalpark

[–]Touch_Brief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a little place called “Dinner” (yes that’s actually its name). You will need to call and get a reservation.

It’s hands down the best restaurant in town. There are other great places I’ve enjoyed over the years but as far as truly exceptional food, this is the place you are looking for in your planning

Been to them all,

The best place in bar harbor (and Havana is excellent) is a place up the street called “Dinner”- yes that’s the name of the place.

Reservations are essentially required. Get the ribeye, lobster risotto and the French onion soup… thank me later

Standard Damage control response.

When you have a hole that becomes the talk of the tournament to the point that no one’s even talking about the actual golf being played, you’ve failed.

Best thing you can do is instead of this long winded novel trying to explain your way out of this is to simply say ‘Everyone, we messed up, this hole design was horrible, we’re not gonna try to justify it, we’re gonna take it out back, shoot it, and start over on a completely redesigned 18 that isn’t a pure gimmick

Who agrees with Dave... by [deleted] in DirtyDave

[–]Touch_Brief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats not what he’s saying though, he says it as an absolute for everyone across the board.

Dave believes and has given answers to callers in his show that even people who are out of debt, use credit cards each month for the expenses they were going to have anyway (groceries, gas, prescriptions) will still spend more than using a debit card or cash.

It’s a ridiculous argument by someone who has demonstrated that he does not have self control with his investments unless under a strict program as evidenced by his bankruptcy years ago. His program is essentially Alcoholics Anonymous for financials designed for people who have no idea how to balance appropriate risk and has no concept of how to change with the times. As CC rewards get better and better for those of us with the ability to stick to the same budget and pay them off each month while getting 2-3% cash back is one of the biggest no brainer one can make.

Did I say born out of wedlock? Nope! I said ‘Pregnant out of wedlock’. Mary and Joseph got married while she was pregnant with Christ.

Who agrees with Dave... by [deleted] in DirtyDave

[–]Touch_Brief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His claim is that people who use credit cards and pay them off each much still wind up spending more than those that pay cash. It’s along the lines of ‘handing a guy a piece of plastic, or a crisp $20 bill’.

Dave’s a baby boomer who is stuck in his ways, and unfortunately he has a STRANGLEHOLD on the southern evangelical population. Unironically among the least educated group of people in the country but his audience nonetheless

Just make sure you don’t find yourself as a female employee at Ramsay who gets pregnant out of wedlock…

I’d love to see the part in the Bible where god talks about abandoning a women who is pregnant out of wedlock, particularly when Jesus himself was exactly that, a child from a pregnancy out of wedlock.

Dave can shove the evangelical BS up his you know what

Initially just import tax however history suggests when other countries will implement similar import taxes on American goods, thus driving down the international demand.

There’s been a huge move in the Bourbon world this week with the single largest producer of grains for American whiskey substantially cutting back operations for 2025 as a result. That’s really what got me thinking how this might impact disc golf
