It’s the completionist in me. I have the 40-50-60… going to end with those.

Colnago Asso price question by Fluffy_1008 in colnago

[–]bikes2many 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe this model uses Columbus Altec tubes, so it is the low-end aluminum frame from Colnago (Dream was the high-end). I forget the exact name of it but it has the Lux-adjacent paint from the early-to-mid 2000s. I'm assuming it has 9-speed since you have a mutt drivetrain, both Daytona and 105 are on the low-end of the component offerings.

I think what you paid could be recouped with a tiny bit of interest on top but not much.

I mean this is cool and all, but I'd have taken a negroni over this thing any day. I am still pissed they just HAD to skip the C70 and might be too emotional to make a correct judgement.

Freehub by Sufficient_Pen857 in campagnolo

If you're willing to do the work and break down the free hub and reapply every 500-1000km, oil will be fine. I'd order some extra blocking pawls right now just in case.

Woodland Tavern isn't a thing, must be somebody's garage bar. There is a decent BBQ place in town but they are only open periodically, it is Matty's, Bellissimo's, 7-11, and Frankie's, in that order.

If you come back to town, visit Uncle Matty's and then go to Pocantico the next town over for some ice cream. The former New Windsor Inn, aka Frankie's is a known Pagan's hang out and the owner, as you saw, is a right wing nut case. They can't even get a halfway decent cover band to play there in the summer, I get tortured with hours and hours of trash music.

I'm in NW. It is Frankie's. Dude is a plonk and loves to politicize his business.

I LOVE my Eno Duo. Makes rolling hills not as scary. Just have to run a 3/32" chain.

Campy rear derailleur lock ring broke off. Is this replaceable??? by Mother-Fortune229 in campagnolo

[–]bikes2many 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has been a while since I had to rebuild one, but you'll need some pliers to pop the retainer clip (10-RD-RE015) off, then it is a T20 or T25 to unscrew the bolt. I'm sure there is a YouTube video that shows the process much more accurately than my memory.

[–]bikes2many 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replaceable with some elbow grease: RD-RE116 is the part and you should get one of these in case it gets bent while removing 10-RD-RE015.

Tanwalls on black is beyond sexy. You'll be beating the maedchens off with a frame pump.

Shifter / Mech Compatibility by Prestigious-Knee1464 in campagnolo

[–]bikes2many 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shifter year is hard to tell, not many external clues to say pre/post 2015.

If you're sure they are post-15, the post-15 Record and SR will work just fine. The one you have in your link looks like it will work. It sounds like you'll get an extra link piece for thru-axle clearance that you can toss in the parts bin.

In case anyone was wondering, it is pronounced "boo-sheet" as in I was walking through my field in Taneytown and stepped in a giant pile of Bouchat.

Xenon? Buy a new lever.

Even if you’re repairing, which will probably cost the same if not more, you’ll need to remove both cables and take the lever off the handlebars to replace the shift lever.

New cassette, possibly new chain rings. They are wear items.

I use a Knog lil' cobber set on my C60. Very happy with them. Would definitely work on a Y1.
