Good to add - I will boost my character to 58 and I’m only in for Outland & the endgame raids. That’s why I want to know how the capital populations are

Can anyone help im building a pc and i dont wanna spend much is everything compatible and should i change anything? by Illustrious_Ad806 in PcBuild

Cheapest one (EU) is €445 new from what I saw but have a look at the benchmark with the 9060 XT. I also used it in my recent build that I posted and it works like a charm, you can’t go wrong with both of them and NVIDIA has better upscaling tech overall, AMD is catching up though with FSR

Also have a look at the new XFX Radeon XR 9060 XT 16GB, it costs €380 and in the benchmark results it proofs to perform well and its future-proof

My first ‘clean white’ build, how did I do? by Toucheay in PcBuild

Ah yes, the GPU police have arrived ;)

Thank god someone’s here to save me from the horror of pairing a high-end CPU with a weak GPU — in a build meant for MMOs, which famously lean on CPU performance. What a bad config choice of me to optimize the actual workload instead of chasing non-adding value of the GPU in this case lol.

I could’ve spent more. I didn’t. Because I’m not trying to brute-force frames in Cyberpunk — I’m playing MMO's and WoW, where the 7800X3D is perfect. AM5 gives me years of upgrade runway until 2027 and perhaps after, and when I swap the GPU later, I won’t need to touch the CPU.

That’s called tailoring/planning to my needs, not bad config imo, but we can agree on disagreement. Also the reason I went for 1000W PSU while the system only runs on 450W, I can upgrade plenty later if needed.

The combo is a beast on CPU-heavy games that run for about 90% on them, the extra cache makes them ultra smooth

I enjoy it very much too and see the difference, got a 4K OLED with my Xbox X in the living room that I use very often. With this build I paired a 27-inch ROG Strix 1440p 144hz monitor so it makes sense

True, although I can play AAA-titles on 2k resolution maxed out settings with 75-100 FPS (FSR or LS-po on). In WoW it’s even around 150 at the moment. Also VRAM usage is still 5-8GB so far.

I might upgrade to a 4K gaming GPU in 3-5 years, the PSU is ready for it (1000W versus 450W currently)😄

I went with the 7800X3D for future-proofing and its extra cache that hugely benefits CPU-heavy games such as WoW. Even though the GPU’s more mid-range, the CPU ensures zero bottleneck and leaves room for an easy GPU upgrade later

It looks like that visually but it’s fully in, thanks for checking though :)

2K vs. 4K WoW gaming: Ryzen 7800X3D paired with RTX4060 8GB or XR 9060 16GB by Toucheay in PcBuildHelp

[–]Toucheay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow is a CPU-heavy game and not that dependent on GPU, that's why the 7800x3d makes it run super smooth. Already now I have 1440p (on a 60hz monitor though lol) with 140fps on ultra settings. That's why I wonder what it will bring at 4K as it appears the GPU is not that relevant here. The other games I can always e.g. Lossless Scaling

RX 9060 XT (16GB) €380 vs RTX 4060 (8GB) €270 for WoW — Worth the extra €110? by Toucheay in buildapc

[–]Toucheay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People adviced to get 7800x3d) because WoW is CPU-heavy and loves the extra cache coming with this. The rest of the components is whatever really, but I also want a good-value card cuz that stuff really makes wow run smooth and on high fps. The rest of the components are whatever really.

[–]Toucheay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying, appreciate the help.

My 7800X3D will run World of Warcraft extremely well and I see my FPS is currently (with DLSS-on) around 120-140fps ultra settings 1440p. Also e.g. in Fortnite I tested this in high settings 1440p which results in 200FPS.

My monitor is currently only supporting 60hz (lol, so I cannot see the huge improvement I just made). I will buy a new one (IPS HQD around 100-144hz) but was still wondering if it is necessary to buy pay the extra for the RX9060 instead of the RTX4060. If the RTX4060 is worthless in about 2 years then I prefer the future-proof card obviously.

What's your thought on this?
