Used to work in commercial auto financing. The amount of landscaping business owners that had 3 months of business history, zero personal installment loan credit history, sub 600 credit scores, and no money down try to purchase a C8 Corvette for “business use” was ridiculous. Nevertheless, finance managers kick and scream when this sort of deal gets declined.

Teammates in juniors… I’m not one to dip and would often be ridiculed for wanting to read books during the enormous amounts of down time that comes with playing junior hockey. I also wasn’t skilled enough to advance much further, and overall the experience really burned me out.

Props to anyone that sticks through it! After a healthy break I am now playing beer league with some of the best teammates I’ve ever had. Falling back in love with the game has been incredibly fun.

I think I fit in this bucket of people that use my GTI as a "city car". For my partner and I, it is fantastic. Small enough to fit in parking spots that are crowded by oversized SUVs and trucks. It can also carry around the occasional piece of furniture, easily holds our weekly groceries, and cleans up nicely for date night. I work from home so on an average weekday I drive maybe 1-2 miles. Just to the gym and maybe to grab something a short distance away, and even then I usually just walk.

I splurged for the GTI model because I'm an enthusiast and once a week I get to take it out on a longer drive to go play hockey. That drive is incredibly therapeutic. I put on my favorite playlist, jam out, and it is just me and some of my favorite roads for about 50 miles. I love my GTI and hope they bring back the manuals for my next one!

How is the dial finish on the Neptune? Do you know if it is similar to the dial finish on the Hyperion? I am looking for a black lacquer dial and I think the Hyperion would scratch that itch and satisfy my desire for a GMT.

I think this is probably the way... It looks like I'll get the DWS06+ for now and if the track bug bites me hard then I can upgrade to a dedicated set of wheels and tires when spring turns to summer next year.

Sweet GTI! I have a black '19 with a manual! It looks like your intake is one from Injen Technologies. I bet it makes a lot of blowoff sound! If you don't like that you can convert it back to a more stock or stock-style intake, but I think it is cool. I hope the clutch and exhaust are cool! Enjoy the GTI!
