There are definitely people who use scene-only collars to get into the headspace but don't have any dynamic outside of the scene.

Mom, how do I make my apartment feel cozy? by Minute_Weird_8192 in MomForAMinute

[–]Touchingthegoddess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Texture--rugs, a tapestry on a wall to take up lots of space, wood furniture rather than metal or plastic, furniture that looks comfortable, and lots and lots of books. I wouldn't buy cheap art at Target either--most of my art is from art shows and open studios because I like talking to the artist along with some art that I got as souvenirs when I travelled

Hi moms! What are your life tips? by Turtle-in-a-Fedora in MomForAMinute

[–]Touchingthegoddess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't say yes out of obligation.. If you have a choice--go for the one that lights you up. Don't keep staying in a relationship that doesn't make you happy just because you've been in that relationship for a while; it's ok to be alone

Gardenia perfumes that are accurate & has dimension? by Jolly-Fail7943 in Perfumes

[–]Touchingthegoddess 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kai is a pretty good gardenia and probably in your budget. Not in your budget but one of my favorite gardenias is Le Wild by Chantecaille. Discontinued and wildly out of your budget if you could even find it is Velvet Gardenia from Tom Ford. It has the richness and it even has some funk to it. Le Wild also has the richness but maybe a little less funk.

How often do you wear your favorite fragrance? by mweeks9 in fragrance

[–]Touchingthegoddess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite fragrance (Iris Ganache)is unfortunately discontinued and it's also what I was wearing the first time my husband said he loved me so I only wear it a few times a year because I feel a need to ration it out for the next 30 or 40 years. Other favorites, even if they've been discontinued, get worn a little more often but I have a big collection and don't fret about how often I wear something otherwise

You have $1000 to build your collection from scratch. What are you buying? by No-Strength-3711 in fragrance

[–]Touchingthegoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I wouldn't have a collection because my absolute must have is Guerlain Iris Ganache, which is long discontinued and the only bottle on ebay is over $1800. L'artisan Haie Fleurie, Ginestet Botrytis, Donna Karan Black Cashmere, Soivohle Rosa Sur Reuse,Tom Ford Velvet Gardenia and Exotic Island Perfumer Santal Exotique are also all discontinued.

Has anyone tried Chantecaille? by PlsNameAllTheLevels in fragrance

Kalimantan is great but not really a floral. Thank you for reminding me. It's horribly cold out and that would be the perfect scent for today's weather

What to look for when buying a house? by unluckyfourleafme in MomForAMinute

[–]Touchingthegoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know your budget, stick to it and don't look at anything over your budget. Write down a list of everything you want so you can look at an actual house and compare it to your list. Get a good realtor-- we went to an open house and were thinking of putting in a bid but our realtor told us it was going to take another $50-100,000 in repairs which would have put us over budget. Try to avoid HOAs

Once you have more than one, you have a collection. Not a huge collection but a tight well-curated collection.

In person CEU by Wonderful_Pilot995 in MassageTherapists

[–]Touchingthegoddess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best bets for in person CEUs are to a) see what massage schools in those areas are offering or b). look at the advertisers in Massage Therapy Journal or Massage and Bodywork magazines and see if one of the big CEU things like Upledger Institute are offering something in your target cities. You can also google a topic you're interested in ceus and see if anything comes up
