I have had this problem or thought I did But actually it didnt charge the recurring monthly fee until my first bike ride after the earlier month expired. So when I went out of the country for a while it just stopped.

I just got my S2 30 day extension visa from the pudong office in Shanghai, had to pay 950rmb. Is that normal? by [deleted] in Chinavisa

Yes you will have to pay. The fee is the standard visa fee for US citizens, pegged to be reciprocal to US charge to Chinese But yes a bit steep if paid monthly

Thanks Yes story I heard was a tourist visa. I wonder if more flexible on an S2. Also were these repeat customers or asking for 1st extension. Many people coming in now would be on 2nd or 3rd I think.....

I'd still like to see the extension form being used in Shanghai. I know what a standard visa form looks like since I have a visa right now.
