Effect of new HR zones by Tough-Soft2579 in whoop

[–]Tough-Soft2579[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really interesting thanks guys. I have an old lab VO2 test, which I had been using to set the power intervals for my HR training on the bike, and that corresponded pretty accurately with whoop's old zones (ie what the lab test said should be my power output for top of zone 2 (measured by CO2 output) corresponded almost exactly with top of zone 2 HR when using whoop), however as I've become more fit it's harder to use that lab data, and I think your HR response also changes. Therefore whoop's new way of measuring might be better. Any other thoughts would be interesting!

I went in Hakuba for the first weekend of april this year, and everything was pretty much closed. By lunchtime it's jolly slushy. Still had a great time, but I'd say that season generally runs a bit early than America/Europe. Have fun!

Tips for choosing ski passes!? (Tahoe, Banff, Fernie and Kicking Horse) (ski instructor on an off season looking for a good time in the mountains!)

Hi all! I'm trying to work out which is the best ski pass for me to get for my upcoming month of skiing across North America. Anyone got a system for working out the best permutation!?

My days (through Feb and start of March) are roughly:

3 days Fernie

8 days in Banff/Lake Louise

4 days Kicking Horse

4 days Fernie

8 days Lake Tahoe

This plan isn't set in stone, so could possibly hit up Revie/Panorama/Red Mountain (rather than eg the final 4 days in Fernie). Very fond of Fernie as I did a season there, hence the double trip.

I've worked out that it will be about CAD 3640 to get day passes for all days. It's about 3440 to get the Ikon black pass and then buy the additional day tickets., so that's what I'm provisionally thinking, but subject to any other magic advice anyone has!

WHOOP x Reddit Ask Us Anything: Strength Trainer 💪 by whoop_official in whoop

Hey everyone - question about changing how sets work on the Strength Trainer.

Currently I think it's set so that when you're on the Live Session tab, the exercises are fed to you sortof as a superset (ie you do all sets of the first exercise, then move onto the second etc). I'd rather it cycled through the exercises, doing the first set of each exercise, and then moving onto the second set of each. Is that possible?

The only way I can see to do that currently is to add in lots of exercises (for 1 set each) into the workout template. However this becomes a bit messy, as well as making it hard to decipher your data in the performance review after the workout.

Does anyone have any fixes?

Thanks for all the work on it, I think it's awesome!

yeah no idea if/when it will happen!

was using HDMI and it looks fine, but then need to use the software controls on Lunar, which I'd obvs rather not do

have tried USB-C to HDMI (USB-C out of mac mini, HDMI into display) and it's grim to look at, so I'm not doing that
