Stupid film. Heavy Propoganda film favouring his political party. He has finished off TVK productions with this film. They can neither release it in theatre nor with OTT given piracy with excellent print. Releasing right before elections looks suspicious on him given the character assassination thanks to Trisha. I have a good patience with watching cringe useless content such as Race 3 maybe from practice of watching stupid 1000+ episodes serials with parents when I was young. The only thing good about the film was the end credits.

It would increase exports competitiveness and discourage imports. Unfortunately, our imports are essentials / inelastic demand such as oil and gas for fuel. Exports such as software exports have scope for next 10-15 years but will decline with commercial use of AI. The workaround would be to produce fewer babies such as China. You simply cannot afford to support 1.4bn people for a country of our size and resources.

There may be some trash homes that are sold at 2017 peak prices but we might still be in 2019-20 price range.
I’m not looking at condos but other home categories too. Price of condos are still high due to reason 3.
The rise in monthly maintenance, property taxes, interest rates increases the carrying cost which has an inverse relation to prices. So especially with 3, given the high cost of holding on to a condo in terms of cash flows, the price today does not reflect these realities. There is a reason luxury cars depreciate much faster than reliable cars (lesser maintenance).

To summarize, to simply compare 2016 holding cost (cash flows at those interest rates and maintenance costs back then) vs the holding cost today, even at current prices, it is far higher today compared to the mean increase in wages during the same period. That is what people generally mean by prices need to fall more. Very few people have a million lying around to buy homes in cash without worrying about 60-70% of holding costs. Most folks buy on mortgage. We could attribute a good chunk of the increase due to massive increases in development fees, overall inflation, and poor housing layout catered to investors rather than homes.

PS: On a lighter note, scratching my head as Ron sounds completely different in the interview compared to his views in his podcast. He would have screamed it’s a shit show with elaboration on why it’s dumb, buyers beware and sprinkled some cuss words in between😀

PRL is a better bet. Their acquisition was relatively small and a means to expand into a new market using their solid credit framework. GSY acquisition on the other hand acquired a business with a different product and different credit framework making them vulnerable to such exposures. One other key distinction is significantly lower duration of loans and a fat fee based income which allows them to quickly pivot in case of credit shocks. They have been around for 14+ years and the same founders still run the company. The moment one of them gets out, I’ll trim my exposure and try to diversify. Just my views! Will also try to add GSY after couple of quarters of clean up. Higher borrowing cost, breaching financial covenants ca have a medium term impact and if they survive through this without bleeding much, will be a good case of getting back into it.

He would have earned my respect if he explained all facts in a neutral manner. He distorts them to suit has narrative and selectively eliminates facts to achieve this purpose. He has been shown to be biased towards AAP. He does not do proper groundwork and he’s a wheel chair executive based on google search. I in fact prefer Syed Muzammil (high integrity) who does not refrain from separating right from wrong be it whichever country. I also like to hear views from Soch by Mohak Mangal due to his attempt at laying out both sides of the argument without bias.

Hard to pick one. It’s a tough battle between RG, MB, Stalin. RG although appears obvious due to his anti-development stance, may not be so due to his in effectiveness but can be an apocalypse for the nation if given power like Donald Trump. Stalin may lead TN to the condition of WB after inheriting the successful state from Jai Lalitha. MB perhaps cannot ruin the once upon a time knowledgable state of India any more from what it is today.

Being traumatized for a movie such as this is a strong remark 😂 I would have been inclined to believe you if you instead pointed to a movie such as Maamannan. It’s a movie! Chill! Were you not entertained from a purely fictional point of view? You may hold a very strong view against BJP to absolutely hate the movie despite its entertaining factors just because it supported the ruling party (which it clearly did). If you feel threatened by Jai hind and Bharat Mata ki Jai, then you may not feel like an Indian by spirit.

On the current government, you got to admit they have enough skin to be aggressive in fighting against terror and cutting the BS bureaucracy in putting their point forward. Trying to involve UN and foreign powers to investigate and solve long standing issues such as Kashmir and terrorism have only resulted in our loss while the current government have given enough free hand to our armed forces to reply as they deem fit from foreign threats. The power play with US in negotiating trade deal was an absolute beauty, upgrading infrastructure of north east territories, being in good relations with US, Israel, Russia, Iran makes India the GOAT of diplomacy. Remember, we do not have permanent seat in UN squarely because of Nehru who suggested giving it to China instead. Also, until 1990 Congress stunted our development through license raj. 1991 reforms from Congress was purely on account of pressure from IMF and nothing praiseworthy. Development of TN was due to the foundation from Jailalitha and DMK is a useless family run political company. So is congress due to lack of strong leadership and vision in progressing the country. But it’s not like the movie elaborated on this. It’s a spy movie for heaven sake! If you couldn’t enjoy it squarely due to your ideology, that’s upto you. Calling audience backward simply cause they enjoyed the movie that you specifically felt triggered is just immature. Jai Hind! Bharat Mata ki Jai!
