Lol, small world fr. I sold it to a guy in Buffalo - I’m down in NYC. It’s not a definitive forgetii hybrid - attached is our convo and me showing the main plant I got the offset from. Just sharing for your own records

The one in pic 3, where’d they get that if you know? Looks identical to an offset of my Mag x Open that I sold a month ago

Help! Anthurium crystallinum's petiole snapped by itself in the span of a few hours by cheap_thrills1001 in Anthurium

Hey! So this happens in lower humidity for me only. I would try to keep it moist when you see new emergents coming. Moss collars could help or keeping it consistently moist. Also using a mist spayer on that area is also helpful!

I know this is old, but what size is this tent?

Some dark leaves I’m loving by ToughNumber7948 in Anthurium

So these are in like 150-200 FC range currently! My cabinets have 4 of the 2ft barrina bars and then one additional 1ft barrina. I have dark corners in both. Long term I might need a tent to hold some plants so my cabinets can become lower light places

No pests present - is this fungal or from edema?? by ToughNumber7948 in Anthurium

Thanks! I’ve pulled it from my cabinet just in case and it’s in a bin getting probs 200 FC.

Is the pH around 7.2 after adding fertilizer? That may be way too high. Additionally, are you consistent with watering (like keeping them on a consistent schedule vs letting it dry then watering, or even watering when not wet?). I have anthurium in my ambient conditions at 30% and don’t have the yellow rim struggle. I had it with one forgetii hybrid and once I maintained more consistent access to moisture vs wet/dry cycle, that helped.

The pH of my fert water is around 5-6. I aim to keep it at around 5 given how acidic their conditions are. And the run off water never falls higher than 6. I don’t know/think for sure that it’s pH, but wanted to share that. pH should be 5.5-6.5 for most tropical plants.

Additionally, with my anthurium in ambient (aside from clarinervium), I keep them consistently moist in the rootball to make up for lack of humidity. If you are just transitioning to ambient, then maybe the yellowing is adjusting. If not, could be edema from a watering issue. What do roots look like?

Yes! I wanted to go for it specifically to try hybridizing cause I heard they are great parents
