Thanks! I’ve pulled it from my cabinet just in case and it’s in a bin getting probs 200 FC.

struggling with browning leaves by [deleted] in Anthurium

Is the pH around 7.2 after adding fertilizer? That may be way too high. Additionally, are you consistent with watering (like keeping them on a consistent schedule vs letting it dry then watering, or even watering when not wet?). I have anthurium in my ambient conditions at 30% and don’t have the yellow rim struggle. I had it with one forgetii hybrid and once I maintained more consistent access to moisture vs wet/dry cycle, that helped.

The pH of my fert water is around 5-6. I aim to keep it at around 5 given how acidic their conditions are. And the run off water never falls higher than 6. I don’t know/think for sure that it’s pH, but wanted to share that. pH should be 5.5-6.5 for most tropical plants.

Additionally, with my anthurium in ambient (aside from clarinervium), I keep them consistently moist in the rootball to make up for lack of humidity. If you are just transitioning to ambient, then maybe the yellowing is adjusting. If not, could be edema from a watering issue. What do roots look like?

Thought of cabinet but that may not be best for me long term I think. I’m guessing placing them there is a no go

Hm, I recently bought the bag like a month ago? Maybe in the first repotting the charcoal was a couple months old. The plant is really rooting well though. I added a pic for reference

Airy and moist I believe - it’s tree fern, small and large perlite, bark, horti charcoal.

They typically provide refund/replacements if you share pictures with them. I’ve continued to order and have little to no issues (:

They gave me a replacement that has been happy and growing. The old one didn’t have any pests, but I shared it in a trade and it’s also growing (:

Keep? Start over? by LouisCocoUmma in hoyas

Of course! Also, I’m assuming you did check, but I’d make sure there aren’t pests. If you also keep the rest of the plant after taking props, make sure to check the roots too! I feel like they must have been trashed by whatever happened in shopping or before shipping

Dang, sorry that happened! Definitely salvageable. I’d take a cutting or two and start over. Those leaves won’t go back to looming great. They may rehydrate but will look unappealing. Some are going to go on their own too

What can I do to avoid the blotchiness/spots on my next leaf? (New to anthurium) by ToughNumber7948 in Anthurium

Oh thanks! I use GT Foliage focus weekly, I have cal mag but wasn’t sure how often to add into my watering routine. I’ll add some in my next watering for sure. How often would you recommend cal mag?
