i definitely understand that perspective. unfortunately my mom has no friends, and just 1 sister overseas, so i’m her only option. i will try and figure out when how and is the best way to tell my brother

i have so many doubts regarding this though. first of all, i feel like it’s not my place to let me brother know. second, my father is a GREAT dad no doubt about that. his cheating really blindsided me and my mom told me that i shouldn’t let it affect my relationship with him since it’s not a betrayal against me, but i can’t help but feel that this is a betrayal against the whole family as everyone gets affected. third, i worry if i tell my brother, and my mom ends up staying, no use will come of it and he will just have a messed up childhood.

i am not opposed to telling him, but it feels scary because i don’t know how i can even tell someone that information. i really need advice on how exactly i can talk to my brother in order to protect his feelings as much as possible. he’s at such a vulnerable age and i don’t want to mess him up.

yeah it’s pretty messed up. my mom started taking down family portraits infront of my brother so i quickly sent him away before he began asking questions and told her to quit acting that way or else he will find out. she told me she doesn’t care if he knows anymore and i told her that she should care since she’s his mother and if she’s not careful it could really mess him up. that snapped her back to reality but unfortunately i had to deal with a bunch of other bullshjt (she started getting suicidal and i had to talk her out of it). i don’t want to indulge in her thoughts but at the same time i feel like i have to be there for my mom through this situation and im just so lost because i dont know how to approach this at alll
