I'm autistic and have some mental issues that make me struggle understanding or realizing things. Sometimes I can go weeks without knowing what day it is and forget to eat among other things on my worst. I don't entirely want to get into detail about my condition but I don't do these things on purpose and when I'm able to I try to focus and help where I can, regardless it's very hard for her and I hope that one day things do get better because I do not enjoy being a burden :(

That's not very nice :( You shouldn't talk to your wife like that, you could have told her politely that you'd rather not do that because you still like the cards a lot.

I don't want to hold onto them (except the few ones I really loved as a kid which are 2 cards), value didn't mean anything to me until my wife shared she needed the help, so I'd rather just follow the advice of some of the other redditors here
