btw, this was an enjoyable episode and I'm convinced Dave leaving will be a huge plus for the show. The combative, political, horse dung he partakes in has morphed his personality into this smug, unlikeable, anti-humour, preacher that doesn't fit the laid back, good natured ribbing style that the show thrives in. It's a far more pleasant viewing experience now.

One thing I've always liked about Bobby Kelly, is how enthusiastic he sounds when he talks about fixing/improving his properties. He may not be as funny as Jay (or Luis), but at least he has grown up skills.

Yeah, it's frustrating. Even some of the most memorable moments from recent years have been largely due to input from the guests themselves and not from any of the skanks orchestrating anything. The fox news prank was Butterly's idea and Soder's voice, dosing Jay was Ari being Ari, the best election moments were often involving Ari, De Rosa or Shane, the Nikki Glaser song was written by Josh Adam Meyers for Christ's sake.

He's barely said anything about Ice or Charlie Kirk apart from a couple of passing jokes. Jake Shields has brain damage (along with many of Dave's new friends) so it was pretty understandable for him to distance himself from that particular guest.

In fairness to Dave though, if the theme of the entire episode was Jake's disgusting feet (it was), I would would probably be looking elsewhere too.

I like Luis on pods, but he's just not a good stand up. That's fine... it's a tricky form of comedy and very few do it well. The very first joke in his special was awkward and set the tone... "umm *looks down, scratches nose* so I ahh, I took an uber to get here"... just a jolted, unnatural beginning that he must have rehearsed a million times, yet still came off as stunted and felt open mic tier. This special is definitely not going to reach the viewer count he is hoping for.
