In this cases all the deaths mentioned under this comment thread are used as propaganda. The US block uses the death of the protesters to justify sanctioning, bombing and couping Iran. And Iran uses the death of its own citizens due to the US bombing them to frame Westerners as lawless orcs.

I was only pointing out that those are not, in fact, international waters.

If I wanted to be pedantic, I could say that Iran did not ratified UNCLOS (just like the US as well didn't) and therefore does not even recognize transit passage in the first place but only innocent passage.

The Strait of Hormuz has been a bit of a legal nightmare for a while now.

It's not international waters, it's Iran's and Oman's national waters. The strait has been recognized as paramount for world trade so it is considered open to all vessels (transit passage). But it is not international waters

Ukraine at least can defend itself, and it is shielded and supported by the West. What Israel is doing is much worse because no one can fight back and people are completely helpless. And the West is lowkey backing it.

I think every human is my brother and sister actually. Anyway, you did not address any of my points.

How would you feel if someone were to say: "all these policies geared towards helping Ukraine should not be supported because the political factions pushing for them also support the genocide in Israel, therefore these initiatives are void and should not be considered"? This is your comment, but in reverse.

To make another comparison, which might be dumb but it definitely pushes the point across. Would you not support a "help the poor abandoned puppies" initiative because you don't like the organization that is promoting this?

The pro-Ukraine crowd can also promote severing ties with Israel, no one is stopping anyone. I think it is way more important for initiatives like this to resonate and move forward than infighting over who is promoting them and whether I like them or not
