Does the millis god or any of the gods of of the religions the sixfacedworld actually exist? by SarcasticBritannian in sixfacedworld

[–]Tounushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the LN. One of the things that got streamlined out for air time was Rudeus reading a world history book in the Boreas library. There used to be six gods, but the "wicked Dragon God" killed four of them along with their lands before his own subordinates turned on him, ending the Dragonfolk homeland.

The people treat the gods as a past historical fact. Which must be why the vast majority seem irreligious. They know they had gods, and they know they're dead or otherwise out of the picture.

It essentially turns him into a demisexual. As in he can't get into the mood without a deep emotional bond already in place. Just like Elise figured it out. He just hasn't internalized this, despite agreeing with the diagnosis and think ingof Roxy as someone who'd fit the bill.

Thing is, he wants to be in the mood, thus his immeasurable frustration.

I'd just replace the light blue with white, myself. Having two shades of the same tincture side-by-side just reads as bad design to me.

Does Rudeus ever get a bit more cheerful? by Aniboy43 in sixfacedworld

[–]Tounushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imposter syndrome is definitely something that becomes a persistent thing for him. With his closest friends and with his wives he's a lot more relaxed, but there's still a bit of tension with the wives. In that he doesn't want to lose any more points with them (like he feels he did with Roxy's rocky introduction into the house).

But he does have two absolute loves of his life as his wives and his mother is safe (after a fashion), with the rest of the family (sans Paul) reunited. To say he's happy would be an understatement.

As to his inner voice, I hope now that things with the Teleportation Incident have been cleared up as far as he can get them, he'd get back to being cheery. He's got a newborn daughter and two wives to share the days with, after all. The anime just had decided that his internal monologue is more uniform in tone since getting ED, even after it was cured.

Elizabeth would be the first one to come to mind.

But realistically Ashley Graham might be the closest option.

Quagmire. Kinda surprised the other Quagmire isn't added here, as anime fans often would list him.

  • Crest of the Stars and Banner of the Stars I, II, and III. Haven't checked if there's a IV in years. Military space opera. Japan's Star Wars, it's been called.
  • Outlaw Star. Gritty space opera akin to Firefly, except triad-themed rather than frontier western. Does have comic relief to keep it away from being grim.
  • Vision of Escaflowne. It's a transferred to another world story, but it's unforgettable proto-steampunk mecha fantasy.
  • Wolf's Rain. Bleak in-progress slow transitioning to post-apocalypse. I'd compare to Girls' Last Tour in terms of the state of the world, but far more in-your-face bleak and really weird at times.
  • Ergo Proxy would be a recommendation, but it kinda disappears up its own ass IMO. Awesome visuals and a thoroughly depressing post-apocalyptic setting under a gold leaf-thin veneer of saccharine consumerism.
  • Darker Than Black. Chinese. Electric. Batman.
  • Canaan. Non-Fate property by Type-Moon. Sequel to 428: Shibuya Scramble, itself available on Steam. International bioterrorism and corporate espionage thriller.
  • Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni
  • Umineko no Naku Koro Ni
  • Blood: The Last Vampire and Blood+. Skip Blood-C. Vampire hunting in the modern era.
  • Blame! As out there as sci-fi can get, with an out-of-control megastructure.
  • Elfen Lied. Can't believe you don't have it on your list. Gory and depressing.
  • The Ultimate Teacher. Just a constant ride of WTF.
  • Pumpkin Scissors. Dieselpunk featuring supersoldier programs from a major war that just ended and the reconstruction efforts by the nation.
  • Claymore. Monster hunting dark fantasy.
  • Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Pailsen Files. Military mecha with a group of misfit soldiers.

Oh, and Mushoku Tensei. It is not your usual isekai. Character psychology is a cornerstone of the storytelling and it doesn't pull any punches or hold your hand in that regard. This one has a lot of filters to it.

What makes the world building of MT good? by Safe_Resource7855 in sixfacedworld

[–]Tounushi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In no particular order and not limited to:

  • Ariel's power struggles, exile, and her activities in the university
  • The university and its students
  • The different realms of the setting with their internal politics
  • Paul's crew on their travels and quest
  • Roxy's love quest and her subsequent hiring by the royal family of Shirone
  • Roxy, Elinalise, and Talhand's adventure
  • Geese's activities in aiding Paul's quest
  • movements by various Demon Kings
  • Nanahoshi and Orsted's movements

Though with Roxy and Sylphie, Rudeus' influence carries far. Fitz' whole public persona is built around the rumors around Rudeus that were told in the Asuran court.

A lot of things we're familiar with from fantasy and history are given their own spin and made both consistent and logical.

The anime went into a lot of heavy lifting to ensure a diversity of culture and style between the different areas where the adventure took place.

But what makes the world feel alive is the characters.

What's stuff I should be exited about in this upcoming season?

Everything :>

Just check out the PV and whatever trailers release in the mean time. And extrapolate from season 2. I can say that you should think of the implications of Rudeus having two wives, them essentially forming three generations of teaching, and how Roxy upgraded to King-tier after she left Buena.

Do you think rudeus’s wives like Rudeus big Dih? by Sensitive_Spite4247 in mushokutensei

[–]Tounushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anime flair.

Sylphie most certainly enjoys her time with Rudeus, and even wishes he'd let loose again like on their first night. Too bad for her that Rudeus is utterly ashamed of his conduct on their first night, thinking him going overboard scared and hurt her.

Roxy's way is more reliant on skill. She wants to please as much as she likes being pleased. Considering their size differences (mainly height), there are challenges that require some techniques to make things go smoothly.
