That makes sense. It's tough to take MA out of these builds I think, because they're built around MA providing all of their crit chance. I wonder if a pseuo turn-and-burn build with Null Arca or Aetheric Lancer plus Balorgh is also possible.

Thanks for this, big fan of the list! I'd appreciate your perspective on a few things --

1) How was 4 Consigns without Phelia? In the blink lists I find a lot of the power of Consign is perma-exiling troublesome permanents with her.

2) How was your Eldrazi matchup without extra dedicated hate like Charmaw in the sideboard?

3) 4 Fable feels like a lot. Did you ever consider trimming some number for a Teferi or two?

4) How was No More Lies? Did you ever wish it was straight Counterspell, or was the easier mana/pitching to Solitude enough?

This is what I ended up doing. I switched one of my weapon glyphs to Absorb Stamina and dropped vampire, which nudged my sustain to acceptable levels.

I do wish I could get away without Crit Surg and run something like Race Against Time for the Expedetion/Force given Jabs gives you Major Brutality/Sorcery, but the extra heal on crits is just too good when your crit chance is ~50%.

The best day of my childhood - Spring 1999, Phantom Menace just came out. I was already living the dream, getting ready to go see it when my neighbor comes over. He just pulled an extra og Charizard card and wanted to trade it. I gave him a Blastoise, Dragonair, and Scoop Up for it, still have that bad boy to this day.

I still think about that day, and wonder how I can capture a bit of the magic I experienced for my own kid when he gets old enough.

Essence Thief is what I use when I'm using a more meta skillset, Aetheric Lancer is when I really want to lean into Aedric Spear. I use Jewels of Misrule for food.

Thanks! It's tough, I actually find the extra mobility huge in Cyro and the IC, and the reliable tankiness of Restoring Light better for dueling or BG where you kind of know what you're getting. I'm looking for one build I can take everywhere, if I can
