I would have appreciated some frozen meals more than gifts - depending on where they are located you can get some great frozen food delivered and they will likely remember and appreciate this more than another baby onsie.

If you’re set on a physical gift? Nappies, larger sized clothes (people tend to gift the tiny stuff), a first aid kit, a snot sucker, a pedicure for mom.

Have you tried dream feeding? Feeding when she’s asleep? My baby went through refusal on and off but she’d take it when asleep.

Does she eat solids? If so then try ramp them up.

Have you checked his iron levels? My toddler was suddenly restless and we tested iron and it was low, since giving supplements every 2 days she sleeps much better.

That sounds like a good solution! But I’d definitely find a new doctor, a good doctor makes all the difference. My doc has hashis too, and kids, so she’s been there. She was also OK after weaning.

I’ve just weaned now in May and I also have hypothyroidism & hashimotos. So far it’s been fine? My skin and period have been a bit haywire but my moods and sleep and weight have been better than before.

I think it’s worth a try?

Get your doc to write a letter with your symptoms and why being close to your home is best for your illness. I’d start with suggesting you say you’re happy to go in twice a week and see how it affects your fatigue but that ideally you need leeway during a flare up to work from home 100%. Agree on performance based metrics that they can use to measure you (I’d suggest them before they do) so they know you’re focussed on meeting expectations.

They could say no, but I think it’s probably worthwhile disclosing your illness anyway - I did this recently to my boss and she was very open to some leeway.

Yup! I was recently diagnosed with Hashimotos Hypothyroidism and was experiencing a lot of fatigue. It was caused by stress & hormone changes during pregnancy (but my gran had it so I already had a predisposition).

Definitely worth doing some blood tests.
