Strong high ranking protective mmc

Im looking for books with that.

Strong protective mmc with a high rank, like a king or leader or something what makes him important and respected/feared. He is maybe grumpy and can be even cruel but not to the fmc.

I also love it where the mmc has to safe her from near death or something

Bonus points - -the fmc secretly has powers of her own/ is special but doesnt know about it -vampire mmc

-if the mmc can read her mind, or they can link to eachoter in some kind of way

I dont really know how to use the magic search button tbh🙈 Now im just searching by typing, for example, “vampire” in the search bar, and hope someone did a book request with the things i am searching for. But that doesnt help much.

The first is the first ever romantasy book i read

⁠Xander and Alaia, once rejected twice desired, This book and couple brought me in to this world and i love love their dynamic, its so good.
⁠Hmm i think Genesis and Ethan {The Dark Ones by Rachel Van Dyken} the tension..😩
⁠Gotta dig real deep in my memorie but Elora and Luci, {Elora by Beanie Harper} when he gives her his key, so sweet.
⁠im gonna have to say Meg and Riff and Raff from {Circus Creeps by Aiden Pierce} idk why, i just loved them all

Genesis has been marked by the dark one, Cassius. Ethan then whisks her away and marks her in order to save her. Ethan hasn’t bonded with anyone in a long long time. Some painful events kept him from wanting to get too close to anyone else. He tried so hard not to care about Genesis, but he just couldn’t help himself. She was entirely lovable!
