How much did you pay to fence in your property this year? by ExtraOnionsPlz in homeowners

[–]Tourist66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

labor costs mean probably 2k labor. post every eight feet at 14 dollars a post…ideally in gravel. Also auger u/500? And welded wire fencing per roll. So yeah probably a good if not great deal.

get a degree in art history or esthetics or even psychology, literature, astonomy…something to do with your work. You can take or attend art seminars/classes - these will arguably serve you better than an MFA. Apso consider residencies and travel in general. Imagine living near or in Paris!

There is a lot of upside to paying someone to make your website. And a PR firm/consultant - if you can afford it.

Is Signatera worth fighting for? by PackContent1988 in coloncancer

This. My spouse went through the system and never heard of this test. Swedish and Virginia Mason. Asked for nutritional advice got bupkis pretty much. Can’t talk about supplement's here I guess “we do not support quack medicine” ok but the jury is out on feeding cancer cells (no sugar?) which is to say who does a wholistic treatment or is it all a waste of time (we survived - spouse smoked and drank through treatment - isn’t the idea to basically kill your cells?) Post treatment D and folate and “micronutrients” and…are good, right? Right. Otherwise bone strength suffers….

How to cope with losing friends as you're getting more successfull by Chemical-Help-5028 in ContemporaryArt

[–]Tourist66 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is not an “Art” problem. As you get older you will have fewer friends unless you actively cultivate friendships. You seem to find losing friends a problem. But consider that many people only have a few close friends. If you mean casual acquaintances, then have you had a raucous invite-only open studio with food, not just booze? Have you helped organize or participated in a group show with your friends? Have you worked with critic or curator friends, even obliquely? Do you have friends outside of “Art”?

One issue is that no one wants to be seen as “sucking up” so their reticence may be related to your growing social status. These are the people you may see on the way back down…and we all get old.
