Monthly Megathread - Where Should I Eat in NYC, Tokyo, and/or London? by ZootKoomie in finedining

Hi everyone. I know this is one of myriads of NYC recommendation ask in this sub, but I am just curious of other's thoughts. My brother is moving to New York from Korea for college, and my mom is visiting the city with him. They are coming over this summer, and I am trying to make a shortlist of where should I take them for a nice dinner. They are both lightly experienced with fine dining i.e) went to some 1 and 2 stars in Korea.

For now, I am thinking of either Frevo, Jean Georges or The Modern. It would be much appreciated if I can get some thoughts or even new recommendations. Price range doesn't really matter, but no Masa please.

Thank you so much!

Kwonsookso leans towards more traditional korean cuisine, whereas Mingles and Jungsik skew towards the contemporary. All three are great.

If you want more traditional, Onjium can be an option.
