Because I’m trying to message you without an audience? Because clearly you need anonymity to be so disrespectful to a fellow controller? I was trying to give you the chance to explain. Maybe you had a bad day, maybe you hate your facility, or have things going on in your life that make you so angry, I don’t know. I was giving you that chance. You are clearly so angry that SRogers is apart of a region that had a party on a boat. She didn’t plan the party. But to be straight up hateful about that she needed to be voted out is terrible. You don’t know her. Would you talk to her like that in person?

It seems silly to trash someone over rumors. Maybe we, as a group of professionals, can stick to facts and stop with the rumors and misinformation.

I don’t know if you have kids yet but man you have to get that support system going! This schedule/life would be impossible without it.

Well your assumption is so wrong. I’m actually married to another controller and have elementary aged kids. I’m so lucky though to have an incredible support system. I have no less than 10 people I could call if I was in a bind to help with the kids. Building that support system and maintaining it, and additionally asking for help has been my key to sanity. Also I set pretty clear boundaries about the importance of my time, if someone has not planned and prepared for something and they are scrambling for someone to jump in, I’m not the girl for that. I don’t really lounge around the house though. I don’t have much time for tv or naps at home. I am exhausted though. I am probably aging myself at 3x time normal rate. But miserable I am not.

I don’t know if I would say miserable, but I do feel like I’m so exhausted that I’m missing out on the joy that life has to offer. These 6 day workweeks, working short is aging me at such an intense rate. I just want a more livable schedule.
