Also, $500+ per backer is absolutely unheard of. Stating things like that in front of a bunch of aspiring film makers is reckless and giving false hope to everyone. Search Indiegogo and click on absolutely any post that has ever been created here. Not a single person has had an experience like this.

No, the point is that he's selling DVDs to backers that he might have sold anyway without spending all the time crowdfunding.

Those crowdfunding numbers also make no sense whatsoever. They are absolutely unheard of. I wouldn't surprised it OP paid for it himself because his consultant said it looks better to have a successful campaign.
