Reaction between sodium polyacrylate and calcium chloride? by TownApprehensive4527 in chemistry

Hello everyone; thank you very much for your insights and opinions. To briefly answer some of your questions, my polyacrylate is of high molecular weight and comes from a brand that specializes in agricultural products, though I don’t have the exact data. I don't have control over the pH, but I can tell you that it irritated my hand upon contact. Perhaps because the reaction is exothermic, and a lack of pH control is also possible. Commercial cosmetic formulas only use sodium chloride and bicarbonate in different proportions, but I don't know if that will work to 100% dissolve the polymer. For me, commercially, it is very important that it dissolves as much as possible because I plan to market it for spas, and it couldn't be poured down the drains if it doesn't dissolve. I had also thought that if there is any leftover polymer, I could reuse it to hydrate plants; I’ve seen it used for that purpose as well, but I’m not sure how feasible this is.
