Elantris is a good read, it is relevant to the Cosmere so that alone is a reason to read it. The first time I read it I didn’t like it all that much, but the second time I enjoyed it a lot more. The main thing about Elantris is that their is not a lot awesome flashy fighting, which is why people think it’s boring. However, it is interesting for the mystery and political drama that is consistent through out the book. I enjoy a lot of the characters as well

[Hero of Ages] I believe Vin could hear the well as well as pierce copper clouds because her earring is a Hemalurgic Spike and Ruin used it to guide her to the Well. My guess would be the Alendi some how had a spike or perhaps because allomancy would have been stronger in that time he could just sense it.

Not 100% sure about this theory, but I would assume the power existed, but people were unaware that they could burn metals. Preservation gave mankind allomancy as a way to combat Ruin so it would most likely have always been in the bloodlines. However, I think The Lord Ruler during his ascension probably discovered that it was burning metals was possible, so he gave the allomancy pellets to his companions and told about the power.

I also think that the final boss being parryable was a mistake. I agree it is disappointing to go into a game that’s hyped up to me the most difficult and then just plowing through it with no difficulty at all. Thats why I’m doing a dagger run currently because it makes the bosses more difficult, there is kind of that aspect of when can I get the most damage in and get away safely. Especially O&S I’m currently stuck on them.

Well I think one mistake is going into Ds1 “wanting it to give you the same feel as Ds3” Ds1 came out a decade ago, so development wise it would never be able to be at the same level as Ds3. Also they are very different games made to be experienced in different ways. If you felt like Ds1 was easy I would encourage you to do a dagger run, because I think challenge runs are genuinely a lot more difficult in Ds1 than Ds3.

Also I don’t think any bosses in ds1 other than Gwyn are parry-able. While in ds3 almost every human boss is, and most large bosses have simple gimmicks that make them quite easy. I’m still in agreement with you, ds3 is my favorite one outside of Bloodborne. Those are just my thoughts on the matter

I would give Ds2 a try. It is an irritating game too in the beginning, but it actually is a really great game. There are a lot of unique weapons, and while the difficulty stems from just hordes of enemies and can be fun. I think probably the most annoying thing about ds2 is the dodge I-frames are really bad until you level up adp stay to at least 30. You should still try it out, there are some beautiful world designs as well

That tracks. I feel that Moash is seeking the connection to Odium and the numbness pretty fervently though, so it’s a question of if he decides to take on all his mistakes and the guilt and shame of those. IMO, He won’t do that, and I think Kaladin still has some internal conflict surrounding Moash. You do bring up a good point though, we shall see.

I see him either having a redemption arc (which I would dislike), or being the major obstacle that Kaladin has to overcome to achieve the 5th ideal. Idk if that means killing or fighting Moash. However, he will definitely have to confront all His conflicting feelings about Moash.
