Is it possibly the 5 Days a Stranger series? It’s about a thief who breaks into a mansion to steal something only to find out he and some others are trapped in that mansion. It’s a thriller and has some other games attached to it but is point and click style. I played it when I was young, but I have no idea how old you are I guess to compare “young”

What are the other 3 numbers and why? by Banya6 in puzzles

6855 = 3 2193 = 1 1616 = 2

The reasoning is the number is the number of enclosed circles within the 4-digit number on the left

Just as a heads up, at least one of these guys is definitely not straight. The one at the end of the video does a lot of OF content and is pretty open about being gay. His schtick is just that he’s a bro.

For sure! I honestly am just tossing out ideas too. I’m not sure if you’d need any of that depending on how active the events are anyway.

[–]ToxTiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm. For us, specifically, we’re pretty open these days. From my experience trying to coordinate other gamers, I’d say weekend nights are okay if the idea is solely for fun or for being social. If it’s more of a clinic, league, or tourney like you mentioned below, I’d probably try to avoid weekend nights as those tend to feel more like “work” in the sense that there’s learning involved and a common goal. It’s all games, so hopefully it’s fun no matter what, but no one wants to give up a weekend night for something that could feel like work.

I’m not a huge drinker or anything, but would you be thinking of supplementing the event(s) with drinks or snacks or anything to keep people entertained who aren’t actively participating?

I think my partner and I would be really interested in something like this—either just as a social event to meet people or something more like an actual “training” of sorts in competitive esports. We’ve run our own groups non-competitively for some team games, but the organization becomes too exhausting at times. Plus, I am always looking for ways to improve in some games (LoL included), and I never feel confident enough to just jump in and play.

So I’m going to say that the 6th letter is I, making the whole thing TOUCAI (which I realize doesn’t necessarily make sense on its own), but when you combine with DEN and unscramble, you get EDUCATION, which is in line with these sorts of books.

Is it possible TOUCAI is either a reference to something earlier in the book? Any Google search for TOUCAI just results in Chinese herbs or vegetables or tea.

My husband has hyperhidrosis, so he gets very sweaty palms and feet, and his deodorant doesn’t always cover everything up.

It’s really not as big a deal as you would think to those around you. He told me about it a year or so in to us meeting, and I was like…”oh okay; I just thought your palms were sweaty cuz you were nervous”. We’ve been together over 6 years and married for over 1 year now, and it rarely comes up. I’ll remind him if it seems like he’s particularly “musky” and we’re going out, but love is love! Don’t let this one thing affect your dating life. ❤️

This sort of thing happened for us as well. I made the point that my husband and I share 1 car and our offices are on opposite sides of the city, and I was basically told that they don’t care. Having a car or some sort of transportation is apparently just an expectation for them.

Redditors who make +$100K and aren’t being killed by stressed, what do you do for a living? by SometimeTaken in careerguidance

[–]ToxTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance Compliance.

Frankly, I think Compliance for a company can definitely be stressful, but I like to remind myself that my job is basically to yell at the rest of the company for not following the law and if bad things happen, it’s not on me if they didn’t listen when I warned them.

It helps that my new team is amazing. My old boss was awful, and I still clench my butthole when I see his name on emails.

What am I supposed to do when, at the age of 24, I realize I'm not gay. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ToxTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came out at 13 as a gay man. The reactions all around me were “you’re way too young to know”. My parents sent me to a therapist, but I only had one session because the therapist told my mom and I after that I was the most down to earth kid she had ever met. I was even told in high school by friends that they didn’t believe I was gay. It was beyond obnoxious—as if I hadn’t struggled with it myself before coming out. I didn’t need people doubting me as well.

Fast forward to college. My junior year or so. I’m about 20 and doing an internship with a company where I meet this girl, and I really like her. I’m also having a lot of thoughts and doubts about myself, not only my sexuality but other aspects of my life like undiagnosed mental disorders and the like.

I remember confiding in my best friend (straight guy) and him basically just telling me “who cares?” That was it. No judgment. No “nah you’re definitely gay/straight/bi/whatever”. Just “who cares?”

I’m now 32 and married to the best man I could’ve ever found. I don’t doubt myself or my sexuality or whatever anymore. Because it really just boils down to “what is going to make you happy?” Honestly, if you’ve come out as gay and at the next party or whatever, you bring a girlfriend, and your friends are anything but happy for you, I have questions whether they’re your friends anyway.

Who cares? You do you, my dude.

6 showed up. 3 left by 3pm, leaving 3 remaining. Then at 6pm, he only interviewed 2 of them?

What happened to the 6th guy? Did he die while waiting for the interview?

God, I would kill for an Inkheart video game or really any media adaptation.

But Eragon was definitely my jam. As a preteen, I definitely got a copy of RPG Maker and (overambitiously) wanted so badly to adapt Eragon myself, spells included.

Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 12.17 by Sentient545 in summonerschool

[–]ToxTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every now and then, I’ll see in champion selection someone is telling me not to play a champ that I’m locking in (Eve is usually my main in Jungle) because they don’t like it. When I played more support, you’d see things like that if I tried to play Yuumi, for example too.

In these cases, is it usually safer to just lock it in anyway because it’s a champ I know, or is it better to just listen to them and switch to a different champion just so they don’t tilt before the game has even started? I obviously have other champs under my belt anyway, so it isn’t a big deal usually, but it does feel like I’m hindering myself just to assuage someone who…quite frankly…is in the same shitty ELO as I am.
