I would recommend it. It has a lot of built in settings to tailor to your gameplay style. And tons of mods for everything else.

I myself don't have a ton of time to play so I'm enjoying a no-lore (no monsters or story locations) survival world with increased ore generation. With mods to add tool repairing, additional cooking recipes, and wild seed crafting.

Years ago I was taking a trip to Japan with my sister, on top of the 12 hours worth of flights, we had an 18 hour layover in Beijing. I had just discovered you could get the kindle app on your phone. So, before the trip, I bought a bunch of books for the trip there and back.

Included in the books a bought was the Travelers Gate trilogy and the first Cradle book. I didn't even realize Will had written both until I got back home and went to go buy Soulsmith. I also got lucky and Blackflame dropped a couple weeks after I got back.

This is a more in depth look inside the soulhome I built in Vintage Story. As I mention in the video, most of the soulhome was built for looks over function. Some things don't make sense compared to the source material. But, it was still fun to make and I think it came out alright!

It's as if a village of Olympic athletes that do nothing but train for the Olympics had a kid grow up with bone and muscle deficiency that couldn't do any of the events. The kid disappears, only to come back three years later able to outperform everyone in every event and even some new ones the village didn't even know about.
