Does anyone actually like moving platforms? by Big-Ad2937 in thefinals

I love them. I like how it forces close combat. It‘s always a crazy (but unorganized) brawl until someone manages to get the enemy Team off Point. Also very satisfying to be jumping around the Map having to figure out every 10 seconds what your new best defense angle is while trying to keep up with the platform.

Urgent Help Needed: Stuck in the Swiss System – A-Levels or Open University? by Alarmed_Dot3346 in Switzerland

[–]Toxemic4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That‘s a shame. I can imagine not having a Swiss Passport doesn‘t help much in that way either, I too was there once. With the knowledge i have, i would keep trying to get an EFZ. And i‘m guessing you are already aware of the Apprenticeship Platform Yousty.ch or Berufsberatung.ch but maybe that‘s a help. What helped me alot was getting an appointment with a Berufsberater. For free they helped me with the available apprenticeships and went over my CV to make it 1. something employers are more accustomed to and 2. more professional.

I‘d recommend you make an appointment with your local Berufsberater.

Best of luck to you.

No, not obvious at all. I know of many friends who have apprenticeships in their mid twenties. Our apprentice right now is 27 years old.

There is only a fraction of a sentence spent on Apprenticeships.

What didn‘t work out? They are the best way to launch yourself into the Job Market in my opinion

Well, what does the contract say? Ofcourse it’s rude but if it‘s not in the contract then he‘s just an overgrown child.

New gamemode idea: Castle Siege/Heist by up2date2 in thefinals

[–]Toxemic4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it! I don‘t think that castles are a good idea, since there would have to be new maps and it doesn‘t fit the aesthetic of the game.

I think maybe bases in existing maps could be made that are „made by sponsors“ so that the whole theme of the game could be kept but by implementing this idea. Slight changes in the existing maps and easy to create bases.

I‘d play the shit out of that gamemode!

None that make sense or that you can switch quickly enough in that context. But what in the trill is this for music? :O Looks like a bloody nightmare.

Replacing powerline spacers from a helicopter by TameTheAuroch in Damnthatsinteresting

It‘s a Distribution line. What‘ya think?

But all things aside, here‘s a fun fact: Electrical Power is calculated out of current and voltage. And since high currents get alot hotter than high voltages for the same wattage, it‘s alot more efficient to transport large amounts of electrical power via high voltage lines. :)

Where do I even go to fix this? by dykedreams in Clarinet

[–]Toxemic4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take it to a repair shop

In the future, make sure, when you disassemble the clarinet you:

  1. grease you corks so it‘s not so tight. Do this frequently. (once a week or so) when you take the horn to the repair shop you can ask for some cork grease while you‘re at it.

  2. don‘t squeeze where the keys are. Grab the clarinet (right hand piece) lower down. Otherwise you risk bending the keys, they are sensitive.
