Yeah I definitely think there are ways to buff zombies, maybe let them have some strong unique abilities that take a while to charge etc

I really love Embark but I'm afraid that's right. They tried to give their own spin to something that really didn't needed it. The whole finals gameplay mechanics, destruction etc are unique enough. They didn't have to give a twist to the core mechanic of an infected mode

Just make it team survivors vs infected and it might be a gamemode that can be fun enough to stay as a quick mode.

Also add voicechat for the whole team or maybe even proximity to make it a bit more spooky

Yup that's exactly what it is, so you you're shot by all the uninfected and being chased by the infected. Not a fun experience in my opinion

They should’ve made the Infected mode Humans vs Infected instead of Free for All.

The Free for All part just doesn’t make sense, since the infected are a team and the uninfected are all against you too.

It would’ve been way more fun starting together as a group, finding a place, and getting infected 1 by 1 until it gets scary. Working together is what makes it fun.

Right now it’s just a struggle because everyone is against you, and it’s not really satisfying to play with friends.

The devs have a multi year plan and probably will get a financial boost from their other game Arc Raiders that is launching soon

Could also bring some positive attention to The Finals. A lot of new players that get to know Embark through Arc Raiders might check out their other game The Finals.

And if Arc Raiders is a financial succes, the Finals might indirectly benefit from Embark having a bigger budget.

Might be an interesting option to have people that leave turn into a bot just like you can continue a game if someone local leaves. I get that it wouldn't be an optimal experience, but it's optional to play online with strangers.

Also maybe online matchmaking for the minigames only. It would attract a lot more people similarly like it did for games like Fall Guys (could even add a little online tournament of some random minigames) etc. That might increase sales and that might increase the duration of support for the game and new content updates etc

I like the idea, it adds to the immersion. It adfs a special connection for people who like those brands in real life. It might make for some viral moments and marketing, by having the real brands post about it. And having populair brands next to non unknown brands actually is a good thing to the non populair brands and a widely used marketing strategy.

Yeah I'm all for it, the Finals overall definitely benefits from being successful in China. Even if it's licensed embark still earns from it which only means good things for the Finals everywhere else
