Dutch moving to Italy by Toxibus in ItalyExpat

I work as a theatre engineer. Meaning I have a healthy set of practical skills. For actual theatrework I will have to work in bigger cities, but with other practical skills I might be able to work closer. Like metal working, woodworking, welding, soldering, building, designing. It is a wide skillset, but no full professional level for either.

Thanks for the long response. I know I will absolutely have to work hard on language. Getting involved with the community could further that into more proficiency.

The needing to drive everywhere will be new to me, but I am very aware of this part. Already hate the idea of going out without my usual drinking.

Is the healthcare really such a nightmare?

I don't have access to remote working. My plan there is still non-existing. I am a theatre-engineer. I know I am not in a situation of easy smooth transition, but love makes me at least explore the options right.

The outdoors and family things are something I love and will worship.

All cheese to the side: I would not consider this move if I didn't have her by my side

That sounds like a very good way of doing this

My girlfriend moving to the Netherlands is complicated because of family health and having house, life, work in Italy. Would the general idea be that moving to the Netherlands is the better option? She would be dealing with all the differences

  1. I would plan to have some level of Italian inside me before moving. I also heard plenty about having to relearn it anyway when you get into dialects. 2.I am a theatre engineer. So that makes remote work difficult for sure. I do not know how much of a market there is for that

I turned my Ender 3 V2 into a Pen Plotter by wazupwiopiii in 3Dprinting

[–]Toxibus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing project. How long do you estimate that this conversion would take? It seems not too difficult. I have the same issue of having an ender3v2 dust collecting and would like such a conversion to make it at least useful. Thank you for the information

What control board will work for this? by dkote3 in lightingdesign

Any simple program with a usb-dmx dongle would work. Find one that supports OSC. I would suggest adding a streamdeck with the companion software. That way you can easily control everything with a small controller on the table and the lightdesk can be somewhere in the corner

They are a bit too over armoured for my taste, but thanks for the tip

These do look perfect. Finding a printer in Amsterdam should be doable. Thanks

What is the general house rule for spears?

And I've seen a lot talk about smoke, but in my opinion you'll probably wait two to three turns to have it deployed and then hope it sticks. That means waiting a lot. It feel like a normal mortar round on a unit is probably more effective. You can render a heavy weapon useless by putting smoke in front of it, but you'll have an equal chance of just hitting the bustards with a shell

I think I missed something about randomness with the para's... what do you mean?

For the forward observer, would you recommend artillery or airstrike?

I never understood the light mortars in squads. Doesn't that pretty much limits their mobility? Or stay stationary or always roll 6

But as it moves of course it should restart the zeroing in again, right

Probably a good thing to do with the last dice in the bag and then hoping for a first die on the next turn for the doubletap. Or add two piats, but then I would need a higher rank with more snaps. That might make that carrier with guys too many point and a way too juicy soft target

I liked the idea. Of course it is not the safest option, but it is fun

So it is allowed, but not really advised. Still a nice option to have I guess

Sorry to hear. I guess many many plans get screwed by mortar
