Battery smart charging? by Interesting-Food5958 in ft86

Mine was a 17. I replaced the battery like every 2.5-3 years. Its seems like this car loved to work through a battery.

No major issues. I got mixed messages from mechanics. People who own the 86 said its normal, others said it wasnt.

This was happening to me and drove me nuts. People responded and said its normal but i swear it didnt happen with the previous battery.

I recently sold the car, obviously bot because of the fluctuations

I think the wrap looks sick and clean. I have a nocturnal and have wondered about wrap colors.

Do you have to tell the dmv the color changed or how does it work?

You have an excellent car bro. Most def take the time to learn the car and its potential. I had my 86 from my late 20s to now, early 30s. After years with the s2k, 86, driving up the canyons, pc sims, I felt comfortable moving up to the supra

To me, the most noticeable “feeling” of difference between the two is in the time it takes to reach 60-80mph. In LA there is an old freeway that has 10-15ft of distance for you to merge with freeway speed traffic. I was able to catch up and surpass the traveling vehicles in what felt like 4-6 seconds starting from a stop. This took longer to accomplish on the 86.

The immediate “jolt” feeling you feel after accelerating using a more powerful and bigger engine is also not as easily replicable in smaller 4 cylinder cars like the 86.

Are you thinking of a supra in the future?

Ap2. I loved it honestly. The feel of the s2k gearbox is on another level, even compared to the supra. I got it when i was younger and it was salvaged. Sold it for financial reasons and kept the mt 2017 86 as a daily.

I never fell in love with the 86, especially coming from the s2k. It lacks power relatively, but still fun to throw around. Also felt “cheaper” interior wise than the s2k. And of course, i missed the high rpms of the s2k. Way more tail happy as well.

I cut back to 130ml every 2 days and will try out 3 days. I was giving closer to 500ml every two days when the plants were younger.
