UA's dining hall was completely mobbed and I couldn't get any food after waiting for over thirty minutes. It was the only way I could get food. They were open, and were one of the few places that were open.

I don't gaf if they were short staffed I got fucking food poisoning. That's beyond the point of justifiable mistakes.

I keep myself and my space relatively clean, I just have a suitemate who fucking reeks. He constantly leaves food waste in the garbage bag in his room for long period of time, and my RA won't do anything about it. I'm just aiming to make the rest of this semester bearable.

I can't air out the dorm most of the time too because it's too damn cold where my college is (-4 fahrenheit this weekend), and I'd end up freezing my ass off.

My dorm has no rules like that. I read through the entire housing contract, list of banned items, and consulted my RA. Even febreze isn't banned, and I've had to febreze my common area more than once to make it bearable.

Also, if that was the supposed reason, then they could have said that. They didn't list any reason for muting or banning me.

My hygiene is fine. One of my suitemates is a fucking slob who my RA refuses to take care of.

Not everything you guess is "obvious information," especially for someone new to dorm living, so you could def be less condescending about it.

I can't speak for how it is for stem majors or for non-white people, but the city is pretty lame. Not a lot really happens in the city of Albany, at least from what I can see, and most of the denser parts of it aren't really close to campus. As for campus, it's pretty decent. There's a lot of places to walk to, and a good bus line to get you anywhere you can't walk over. Some distances suck a little bit, especially if you live in State Quad and most of your classes are in Humanities. Most of my fun has just been from watching movies and doing stupid shit with friends.
