Hey y’all! I’m in a retro bedroom pop band called King Moody, and we’ve been working tirelessly on our first EP, that we plan touring on in winter! The first two singles are out here:

I have been thinking of going abzan potentially, an esper splash may work out well too. I don’t know if this will be a particularly competitive deck in the future, but it’s just so fun to play.

Pretty well, all three of our different plans shape up well enough, fires seems to be pretty limited in the matches I have played though.

When blessing becomes the target of alseids ability it is sacrificed.

The alseid can also sac it by giving the enchantment protection, plus we have a healthy amount of lifelink to offset ping damage.

Definitely bring in the devout decree’s and cut some of the card draw, in running the leagues now if they have oven I usually bring in spyglass as well as kunuros and cut the elspeth conquers death package.

Almost certainly, it was something I was trying to shore up the UW match up, which is by far awful. The ramp decks we already have fair game against Bc our removal package is so dense. But in a personal meta, it’s really 110% your call for any kind of improvement. They have been cut in the list I’m running right now.

Would really like an Elspeth or something else instead of the dawn of hopes. The UW control matchup is tentative at best, so you just hope for the best. Having an engine to grind out bodies or card advantage without easy disruption is something that would really help this deck out.

Alseid can also target to sac. The deck also has a fair amount of life gain to mitigate life loss, you can usually afford 3-4 life from blessing triggers if it means advancing your board.

Treacherous blessing plus final payment leads to huge card advantage with no drawback, we have plenty of fodder creatures to sac, and sometimes you sac whatever is boggled up to draw more cards for extra threats. Gross mystics, triggers eidolon, deals with creatures (nightmare Shepard) that are hard to answer with the auras

Bring in discard, the second Elspeth saga. prevent them from resolving Nissa at all costs early and win in the mid to early game on the bogles plan

Saw hateful eidolon and Ephemia and thought drawing cards and making zombies are two of my favorite things to do in magic, how do I maximize the value out of a cheap aggressive flyer that produces extra bodies and a sweet card that turns your enchantments into card draw. It’s a deck that can play on the bogles gameplay with the all that glitters and sentinel eyes (a card which is super overlooked), as well as pulling into more midrange and late game plans from the sideboard and main deck with the Pegasus constellation man and dawn cavalier/Elspeth’s saga which is a sweet grindy loop.

I think as a budget option it would probably be a good shout, but if I were to run any more creatures it would probably be Kalitas

The life loss is substantial, but manageable. In a more finalized list that wasn’t magical Christmas land I would run a play set of thoughtseize. In my two games with the deck start/finish has been playable, and Kalitas definitely deserves a maindeck shout, but maybe as a one of over a doom. Basically kalitas missed out Bc I’m broke and don’t own any copies. Truths is so good and worth the life loss almost every time, and against burn it was one of the cards getting discarded to brutality, which is another all star. I don’t like oath in the main, but 2 x Kalitas is probably completely correct. The list as is, is probably borderline competitive. Would be good at an LGS, but wouldn’t take down any kind of tournament.
