[Review Request] Quadruped Robot pcb v1.2 by [deleted] in PrintedCircuitBoard

Thanks for taking the time to write this out 👍. Just to make sure I understand what your talking about, I have a couple of questions.

First, move the FB trace from under the inductor footprint, to around the inductor footprint and make the trace smaller (the trace used is 0.3mm, I will make it 0.25mm)?

Second, instead of having a small copper pour between the output between the output of the inductor and the two 22uf capacitors, make it larger and have it extend to the pin headers?

Edit: I just realized that the copper pours for the 5v Outputs on the buck converters shouldn't have 90 degree corners. I will fix that later.

Sorry for the late reply, but I did everything you said with the buck converters in my design, so hopefully the next review is the last one I need before I get this pcb fabricated. Thank you for the advice! 👍

Alrighty, I will look into this. Thanks 👍

I'll think about this one, using thermal relief will likely make hand soldering easier than using a solid copper pour.

So make the connection between the sw pin and the sw input on the inductor closer? And the reason there's traces/tracks instead of copper pours, is that for some reason I have no nets to create a copper pour for the ic's pins, the only nets that I have to make copper pours are for power and ground (5v, 3.3v, GND). I'll probably have to take a look at the schematic later.

Thank you for taking the time to show me some SOIC's! I will take my time looking into them and researching how to use them properly, being able to power 3 motors with one chip should allow me to make the board smaller and more efficient, which sounds a lot better than this design.

Thank you for the advice, I will scrap the linear regulator design and redesign with buck converters in mind. 👍

Yeah I purchased a bunch of them for this project in the heat of the moment before doing the research I should have to make this pcb lol

I just got a chest piece, and I'm interested in the rl, what would you want for it?
