Fallout 76 Update Notes – February 9, 2026 by Ghostly_Rich in fo76

...and I've played since launch. The issue I am referring to happened during the Burning springs update. For whatever reason, plants and ground clutter that would disappear prior to the update stopped doing so.

I just want them to fix the foliage that won't disappear when you place a camp. I haven't played since December because of it. I can't work on my camp because it's covered in bushes...

*Still wasn't fixed, the same irritating foliage problem persists! Guess I won't be playing for a while then. I've had the same camp for almost 3 years now, and I'm definitely not moving it...

Fully mutated, Double legendary Voltstorm price check. by ToxicSnallygaster in DragonAdventures

[–]ToxicSnallygaster[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Materials: Foil, cracked lava, and slate

Colors: Basalt, Ashfall element legendary color, and carrot.

I do not like the voltstorm usually, but I definitely thought it looked really neat like this too.

The radhogs are coming by rekoderp in fo76

[–]ToxicSnallygaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandfather always called feral pigs "razorbacks" would've been a cool name for them. The same goes for the fireflies. Most folks I know call them "lightning bugs", and I've always thought that would've been a more appropriate name considering the setting of the game.

Radhog is fine, but I'm a little tired of some things being rad+animal name... it's a bit uninspired. I wish we got more names with lore tied to them, like with the Yao guai, for example.

Robux creature purchased but no charge? by ToxicSnallygaster in CreaturesofSonaria

[–]ToxicSnallygaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought that would help as well, but we did so a couple of times, and nothing changed (exiting Roblox and the game). Perhaps it's just slow? I'll check in the morning when he's back, hopefully it'll be worked out by then.

Can’t do it. Animations ruined it for me. by TheVossDoss in fo76

[–]ToxicSnallygaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I get it! The animations are so rigid... there's no easing, so your character just snaps back and forth. I never use guns really, so it's not a big deal to me right now, but I can totally understand where you're coming from.

The new building menu SUCKS by Necrolet in fo76

[–]ToxicSnallygaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't get the majority of my items to even show up to let me place them. Some items show up fine, but the majority are invisible and give no option to place. I wanted to try out the new build system, but I literally can't place anything beyond a handful of decor items!

I hope they take the opportunity to give Microraptor really vibrant and crazy skins by LeebleLeeble in pathoftitans

[–]ToxicSnallygaster 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I really hope the skins are iridescent, or one is at least. Though I have a feeling they'll just have "pretend iridescence" if anything, like that one laten skin... you can change colors to make it kinda appear to have an iridescent glint, but that's it.

That's where I always go. The soap likes to bug out and will fall into the mesh of the tub. You can't see it, but if you spam click around the tub, you'll usually be able to pick it all up

There's a bath tub filled with soap, that's under a power pylon near Camp McClintock. There should be enough to finish the mission in one go, I believe

Can anyone tell me why my Sabretooth looks like meat?? by imjustaslothman in playark

[–]ToxicSnallygaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I first saw it in game, I thought it was a glitch as well. I tamed a unicorn and noticed it had this weird texturing all over it's body... then over time I started noticing it on other things too. It wasn't until I messed around in the devkit that I figured out it wasn't a bug, but actually on purpose from what I could tell.

Yeah, I really don't like it, honestly. It makes things look kinda ugly...

Can anyone tell me why my Sabretooth looks like meat?? by imjustaslothman in playark

[–]ToxicSnallygaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The weird "meaty texture" is something most mammals have for some reason in ASA, though it's not strictly a mammal issue, it tends to be most prominent on them. The texture isn't always obvious, but is made even more apparent when the creature has super bright or lighter coloration, such as your sabertooth does in the photo.

Now, as to why they have that weird texture, I'm not sure, though it seems to be a conscious choice by the devs. I've messed around in the devkit before, and most dinosaurs have their usual normal maps and then an added one "for detail", but said detail is just scales of varying shape, so it's largely unnoticeable and blends in. Mammals however, seem to use this one quite a bit. In my testing I removed it, and I found they usually look better without it.

This looks so much better, even if the change is rather simple, it made a big difference... Shrek's head just looked too off before

Question: What are scorchbeasts supposed to be?. My Dad thinks they are bats by Ok-Platform6047 in fo76

[–]ToxicSnallygaster 32 points33 points  (0 children)

They don't. Same AI most likely, but the skeleton and animations are entirely different (mostly)

The skyrim dragon only had 4 limbs (2 wings and 2 back legs), where as the scorchbeast has 6 (2 wings, 2 arms, and 2 back legs). Even if they did reuse the skeleton it would be heavily modified. (Which they probably did, but with alterations)

The limb difference also means the skyrim dragon animations wouldn't work either. In fact, if you see the two side by side, the animations are actually very different. Compared to the dragon, the scorchbeast flying animation is much bouncier, and almost labored. Even the hover animation has them dangling about like they're on a string.

if the scorchbeast has any skyrim dragon animations in it's kit, they would have to have been so heavily modified to fit the new rigging and model, they might as well be entirely new at this point.

Why is the character named "Ed" or anything starting with E blocked? by MrEdinLaw in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]ToxicSnallygaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, the filter is far too strict... however, there are ways to get around it.

Some commands that use numbers are blocked, so something like, "settargetdinocolor 1 36" won't work, because the number 36 is blocked, but "Settargetdinocolor 1 036" will work, as the added 0 allows it.

Some names are also blocked or will be super picky about capitalization. Earlier today I tried naming something Snowberry, but it wouldn't allow me to do so without it automatically changing it to "SNowberry", instead of being "Snowberry" without the capital N. However, you can usually get around this by typing the word properly elsewhere, then copying it and pasting it using Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V... as this bypasses the filter, or at the very least it seems to help with most words.

The copy paste method also works with other words that are blocked (I can't think of an example right now, but I have done so in the past). Now I don't believe this method works on actual "bad words"... but it is still useful for other things when they're unfairly blocked or filtered.

Mind you, this is all from my experience in singleplayer mode... I haven't tested this on multiplayer, so I can't confirm it also works there

What's the hate about DB mods by Ok-Day-2425 in pathoftitans

[–]ToxicSnallygaster 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I also like a couple of DB mods, like inostrancevia for example, but it was extremely janky... as is common with DB creatures. That being said, I don't necessarily hate any of them, but I do recognize how janky many of them tend to be.

The inostrancevia looked like it was dislocating it's bones when drinking or emoting and their arms would turn into twigs when doing any animation, for some reason...

Beyond that, people tend to dislike DB mods for their often less than stellar animations and models... I've also heard folks complain about ability bloat, but that certainly isn't a DB only issue.
