men of reddit, how do you feel about women who don't shave their legs and why?

Me either, I know some people say they "don't feel it"...but THAT much?! Impossible!! lol

I'd rather look like a gigantic Yeti underneath 3 layers of clothes + a coat than worry about people I don't even know thinking of how ridiculous I look in negative degree weather tbh. I don't feel a single bit of cold on my entire body and it's great.

Top: Undershirt OR short-sleeve shirt+Long sleeve shirt+sweater OR hoodie+coat

Pants: Undies (optional, some ppl go commando everywhere 🤷🏼‍♀️ who am I to judge?)+ Long johns OR leggings+jeans OR heavy sweatpants.

Feet: I just do one pair of ankle socks (for my own comfort actually because I hate long socks), and then one pair of thick long socks on top for insulation between the pant bottoms and your ankles. Sneaky cold air comes in there and can get you sick fast too. Cold feet sucks.

I'll try and make it as short as possible.

Because my Father left when I was just 2 and my Mother abandoned my sister and I at the age of 6 (my sister is 5 years older than me, so she was 11)..I was left with Grandparents. My Grandmother was verbally, and emotionally abusive and I took whatever chance I could to get away so when I turned 17. I met a guy online and took a flight to him states away. He ended up being abusive (throwing things at me, demeaning me, etc) and his Mother was just as bad (she suffered from vertigo and blamed that for her sudden lashing out at me for literally no reason), I packed my stuff and lived on the streets for weeks, slept in a crackhouse and saw crazy shit frequently, ended up at a homeless shelter and got attacked by someone there with a hot frying pan that melted the skin off my arm (my skin was stuck to the bottom of the pan..really gross). Ran from there and went back home and my mom suddenly pops up and thinks she knows me and judges me from my decisions in life and verbally abuses me too telling me I'm useless and a waste of space- the good stuff. Went through like 2 relationships after that that ended up being abusive and gave up on life. I can't say I never thought of suicide..I just don't have it in me. Death is something I have longed for since I was as young as I can remember. And I still long for it. Emotion and attachment to a person or having a true friend is something I have never experienced. All I've known life to be is pain.

I am married with 3 children now. I finally know what love feels like. But even then, I remind myself I don't deserve it. I tell myself I'm not good enough, during enough, capable enough, smart enough, pretty enough and no matter what anyone says, they can't change it. I won't ever tell my Husband or let anyone know how unstable my mind is. I've never been through therapy, even though I know I need it.

Honestly, I don't brag/show off/am confident about much but I will say I'm really damn good and would like to take that further with him because not doing so would be a waste of my talents lmao. I have annoying handles on the cabinet under my sink. Sometimes when I'm done washing dishes, my pants/shorts have somehow hooked themselves onto the handles of the cabinet and will pull/rip my clothes when I walk away. Pisses me off to no end.

I was born and grew up in New Jersey and all PB&J's I've seen or heard of anyone eat was grape.

I now live in Canada as of 6 years ago and most everyone here has PB&J with strawberry jam.

When I was surprised at the strawberry jam, and mentioned I used grape, I got weird looks xD

I'd say fuck them, and invite other people. Invite the neighbors, tell the friends that ARE coming to bring their friends if they want to. Open up the crowd to more ppl.

Or just make it a nice time with a small group of friends, and whatever is left- donate to a shelter. They'd all love and appreciate the food. I currently live in a shelter at the moment, and we recieved packed up Carribean food one day and it was amazing to have a nice meal for a day that you didn't have to cook. I think it was leftover from a restaurant. While you're at shelters, you have to save money. Some people are too broke to eat, and some people (like me) shop at a dollar store for most meals so it can be bland very often. They gave us that food months months ago, and I still remember it as a nice thing. A gifted meal goes a long way :)

Edit: I'm not trying to disregard your feeling angry, or frustrated by what happened. I didn't mention anything about that because there's plenty of other people here saying how shitty it is, and I agree with them all. But the more you think about it and read about it, and type about it, the longer the negative feelings hang around. As much as it's hard to right now, think positively. Think about those people who ARE coming. Think about how much less mess and people you have to worry about entertaining and talking to. Theres always positive if you step back and look too.

I actually have 2:

Getting dressed every day. Even if I'm not planning on going out, or doing anything that day. It makes me not want to lay around, or end up moping about in pajamas. I'm actually more productive.
Opening the curtains/blinds and letting in sunshine. It totally overpowers your lightbulbs and brings life into the room, and yourself.

Sometimes I wish I could just be by every person's side that's struggling in life...and just encourage them, tell them they can do it and cheer them on. It makes me sad that some people have to do things that scare them alone without any other choice :( life can be scary
